Making the flowers renewable is what would cause players to only use Sniffers once to obtain the plant. If they can only be obtained through Sniffers, that would guarantee their continued use

Similar to how Locator Bars cover up the XP bar, holding a compass/map could replace the Locator Bar with one that points to the specific locations on the map
