I've been a big fan of having 1 block geodes. When mined they would open up so you can see the inside. They may just look like tuff on the outside. When polished they may just become amythyst blocks

It would be interesting to have an actual forge where you can melt metals and make molds. Forges and anvils could be made to be the main block for making metal items

I'm not sure about frozen stone, but frozen dirt could be a thing, making it as hard as stone. It could just be a thing related to temperature

Trees should have branch blocks that grow leaves, either with the block changing textures to look like leaves or the block would generate leaf particles that can fall as well
