Rename to palm trees, make them somewhat rare so they don't get too boring, make the pineapple a block that spawns as part of the tree, make the pineapple WEARABLE

YES. I play on an SMP, it's so annoying that phantoms will spawn in large groups whenever many people are online.

Yeah just use OptiFine and shaders, there are a ton of them out there that can fit your preferred looks or computer power.
