There is a serious child protection issue with Minecraft (bedrock edition which includes for iOS). There is no way to prevent children from accessing Minecraft servers and still use a parent’s paid subscription to a realm. This very bad as most of the servers are not appropriate for children and contain inappropriate language, behaviors, and could include predatory people.
Parents need a way in Minecraft for iOS (and probably other editions) to block ALL access to Minecraft servers (basically the servers tab). I only want my child to be able access our online realm which I pay for and local WiFi servers (ones we host at house on our iPads). Currently there is no way to restrict access to other servers. The suggestion to use Xbox live account controls does not work for iOS.
A simple solution would be to allow a passcode to be used to restrict access to the servers tab.
For a game heavily marketed to children this security issue is disturbing and a possible violation of usa laws designed to protect children online.
Hopefully you can get your Mojang subsidiary to do something about it. Their response to this type of issue was for me to post a suggestion to reddit. Seriously? That is a major failure of common sense and their lack of concern for children which make up the majority of the users of Minecraft. That was a grossly unprofessional and inappropriate response.
