Stop making these feedback posts. It's pretty clear that you don't actually care about users or their feedback.

Third party servers do not require centralized moderation. I do not trust multi billion dollar Microsoft to be the arbiter of morality. Allow us to use our private servers as we please.

Minecraft does not need a universal chat moderation system pls remove it in the 1.19.1 update

Why even ask for feedback if all you're going to do is completely ignore it? Right, you have to save face and pretend that you still care.

There is no need to add chat reporting, because servers already have their own moderation. There are concerns with some servers having bad moderators, but that is most likely a server unlike Hypixel. A system could instead be implemented in which parents could be notified if their child joined a less known server, and then the parents can take the decision into their own hands on whether their child should play on that server or not. If people are worried about someone abusing someone else in a server, I think that most people would be against it and would provide help and support to the abused person while calling out the abuser and talking to server admins to remove the abuser. If the admins don't, well people won't play on that server anymore, because of the people who run it. Personally, I think Microsoft is just trying to get control over Minecraft players, which I am certain will not do them well and can only begin the downfall of Minecraft. Thank you.

In honour of Technoblade you should make it so when you put a nametag named technoblade on a pig it should wear a crown! It’s a very simple feature and it would be a great memory of the pvp king

Listening to the community? Microsoft for the love of Minecraft drop chat reporting. The majority of players do not want this, do not like this, and want it gone. Please listen.

Privately hosted servers should be able to opt out of the moderation tool.

Firstly, objectively there is absolutely no way an independent party can review chat messages with proper context and make decisions accordingly. No matter how many chat messages you decide to grab around the reported message, there is no way you can judge it better than a designated moderator of the server itself. There are bound to be more wrongs than a server's own management system. And this is IF this report system isn't released in a state where it can be exploited to hell and back.

Secondly, from a moral standpoint, it seems as if Microsoft is trying to say: "Trust us, we know what's best for you, even better than you do". It simply draws away from the autonomy of privately hosted servers. The fact that you can get banned across every single server is also ludicrous.
The feedback is quite clear and I don't need to stress how negative it is.

I feel bad for the (hopefully existing) devs at mojang who are having to follow these orders and implement a feature the community is overwhelmingly against.

Private servers have their own moderation staff that do a far better job than a mass reporting system. The chances for false bans is way too high when your own guidelines are vague and lacking context. Minecraft has been self moderated for years. There's no need for it.

Still going for reporting, just waiting for the inevitable lawsuit for Microsoft/Mojang trying to control what happens on servers they don't pay for or manage

If they want to control what happens on the server they should pay for the server, either remove the feature or pay me for the server hosting

What an awful, awful change. How about you let server owners moderate their own servers? This Orwellian garbage you're trying to force feed us is going to destroy this game.

This is very bad for minecraft reputation in player base and a discouragement for ppl even try to get realm or even be active and stick to community, more importantly it's a threat to people talk freely and feel safe in their gaming experience, I play multiplayer server with my friend, and my self they r fun because there's no moderation and I like to keep it that way, if I ever play a version with that installed I will definitely get the plugin or mod prevent chat reporting, because ITS NOT TWITTER.

The vast majority of the community agrees that a centralized authority determinining what you are allowed to say or not is both ineffective and an over reach of power. It has been shown time and time again that such systems are both easily abused and avoided.

The minecraft community has been policing itself since the inception of multiplayer, and is better equipped both in manpower and context for each situation.

I don't want to be falsely banned from multiplayer. Please, Mojang, listen to the MC community, and don't add the so called "safety features" into the game. Or if you don't like that, at least allow server owners to choose to toggle it or not. I'm starting to get concerned about the future of Minecraft.

Please add option to disable chat reporting to server config. I don't want to fear of getting banned from online play. Let server owners handle the things as they used to be for a long time.

No you don't. Please stop with these posts. They are completely useless at this point.

Why are you still releasing snapshots with chat reporting at all if you know that the vast majority of your players don't want this feature?

This is only going to be abused by the very people you're trying to "help" stop, on top of being a terrible privacy concern. Moderating this is going to be an utter nightmare - as long as that button is there and people are talking, you can send in a report at absolutely no cost to yourself and a potential permaban for the person you're reporting. This is going to result in a massive slew of false reports, and if I were the poor sap tasked to moderate it all, I'd just quit.

The only way this is going to go well is if you remove this chat reporting feature entirely. Full stop. Servers are already doing what Microsoft is attempting to do, and they've been doing it better for years. This privacy-breaching update will only hurt Minecraft as a whole, and you seem to want it to burn. Is this what you want? Do you want one of the biggest franchises ever to burn to the ground because you falsely assume these independent server moderators are incompetent?

I'm frankly disgusted with the direction this game is going. I really, really hope you change your mind before it's too late, but I know my hope is falling on deaf ears. The best outcome I can see at this point is that you remove this chat reporting feature after the inevitable onslaught of reports. Even that sounds like a pipe dream.

Microsoft, Mojang, don't do this to Minecraft.

Please add better parental controls and age ratings for servers. This is a reactive feature, but other features could better help safety. Parents should get to choose which servers their kids can play on.
