Parity is something that's super important to our developers so everyone gets the same experience across Java and Bedrock. While this doesn't always happen simultaneously, major features that have been announced are in the works for both clients. Don't worry!

    Please do not add chat moderation, the system can be abused if your staff is (and will be) overwhelmed by false-negatives

    Make it possible to turn on or off chat reporting, for some players and servers it will be disastrous.

    Oh, oh no...
    This can't be on minecraft, it'll ruin everything and shrink the playerbase since they don't wanna be banned for saying something non-meaningful to a friend on a PRIVATE realm
    Mojang, what are you doing, this is gonna ruin the game and you know it, and if you wanna listen to your community, remove this
    if your not gonna listen, there's a good chance that something bads gonna happen
    and it ain't gonna be from me, but your community,
    TF2's done it, you wanna be next?

    Microsoft, keep your hands off Java! The chat reporting of Bedrock will NOT be tolerated, with its vague and abusive power is brings. We can handle the moderation of our own Servers, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

    This feature could easily lead to be parts of the community being falsely banned due to people getting angry at them or 'doing a lil trolling' as they would say. They should just make it so that there is a block feature if they want to keep this feature in one way or another. For example, let's say you see someone saying a racial slur, you could block them so you could no longer see messages from them. That's how I would approach this. However if you're willing to remove the report feature the community would be much happier.

    Mojang or Microsoft's dev team you should just remove it. This is just weird. If I pay for a server, I just need to be able to make my own rules. Something that I allow in my server should not lead someone to get a false ban. Because we can moderate our own server's chat

    Dear Minecraft Feedback:

    Consulting The Banning Issue And Chat Bans- 

    I Myself have no direct hatred towards this change to the Minecraft community.

    However the sudden change in banning has taken a lot of the community by shock and is causing some issues with servers. People have started to complain that Mojang is stealing their money and giving nothing in return. To change this issue maybe it would help to have a more player based tracking ban. 

    Meaning that your account has an overall score connecting to how many people have reported you.

    This not only could help with the wrongful bans but also give the Minecraft community some space to create mods/plugins that can further resolve the issue. 

    It is they account users choice to join a server. It seems a little unfair that even though they chose to be exposed to the profanity/Harassment they still can be punished for it. 

    I am sure the community will find ways around the chat ban and your community has already done this.

    They are smart. Smart enough to get rid of features that they don't agree with.

    Terrible idea. Always will be a flaw no matter what. Just don’t add it.
