Hello Mojang Team,
I like millions of Bedrock players on mobile, console, and PC, I love Minecraft but feel Bedrock's add-ons are still far behind Java Edition's mods in power and freedom.
Java has thousands of free mods on CurseForge, Modrinth, etc. – things like Create (complex machinery and automation), tech mods, magic systems, new dimensions, custom AI entities, deep RPG elements, shaders without heavy lag, and total game-changing mechanics. Bedrock's Marketplace is limited, many are paid, and even free add-ons often conflict when you stack 4-5 or more – worlds crash, features break, or nothing works properly.
To make Bedrock mods work like Java and grow the community (especially in places where free mods matter a lot), please add these big improvements:
Expand the Scripting API massively – Allow deep changes like custom crafting systems, new redstone logic, player stat modifications, core game rule overrides, and complex behaviors without limits.
Fix compatibility issues between multiple add-ons –.
Build a free in-game mod browser (like CurseForge/Modrinth style) – Let community mods download directly in the game on all platforms (console, mobile, PC), separate from the paid Marketplace.
Support easier porting of Java mods or add some built-in way (like a safe JVM integration) so Java-style .jar mods can run on Bedrock natively, bringing true cross-platform mod parity.
If Mojang does this, Bedrock will explode in popularity – more players, more creators,
