Petition to Revert Toggle Sneak Change MC-163218

The ability to open containers while remaining crouched has been considered a feature by the community since Toggle Sneak was added back in 1.15. It has remained in the game for nearly 6 years, and in that time has become essential to some play styles. The feature is available to all players, so it's not an unfair advantage.

For instance, the Trapping community, who uses it to remain hidden while building traps underground in PVP scenarios. It's used for really just any PVP scenario where one would have to sneak around. Or even just to remain hidden in your secret base on your friends world.

This change retroactively nerfs this for seemingly no reason, it doesn't positively affect gameplay. Please don't implement this change.

    Especially with the new locater bar this makes sneaking so much more important. This absolutely has to change!!!!

    I've commented on this before, but I would like to tell everyone that this is a feature on bedrock, you just have to be on mobile, this isn't a change to make the games more similar, this is doing the opposite while angering thousands of people

    Honestly, it may have started as a “bug” but it ended a way for players to have fun and compete with their own play-styles I am in favor of keeping it.

    the ability to perform game tasks while crouched is a feature i'd expect from a 30+ year old game! don't develop backwards, mojang!

    This is good, and almost anyone that plays multiplayer used / uses that. It wasn't even like changing it was hard, it was just one setting. We need it back

    수년동안 사용되어 온 유용한 기능들을 제거하지 말아주세요
    이런건 버그를 고치는 행위가 아니라 오히려 유저들의 불편감만을 초래합니다.
    공평하지 않다는 이유라면 차라리 홀드에서도 해당 기능을 사용할 수 있도록 바꿔주십시오

    I dont know why they thought it was a good idea to change how sneak toggle works. I cant open chat, open chests, go to main menu, or enchant without uncrouching. This can lead to peoples underground bases being discovered. Its a really annoying and pointless update that doesnt improve the game at all and actually just makes it worse.

    This change is even more annoying because of the already bugged sneaking in minecraft causing you to not lose all of your momentum when you stop and open a ui, which can cause many unfair deaths
