Sustainability, leather alternatives and plant farming over animal farming.

Sustainability in the real world needs to be encouraged, therefore games should positively encourage this more. The only way to get leather is through killing cows or rabbits, if there was a plant alternative like apples, coconuts, cacti many real life examples could be put into the game. At the moment battery farming is encouraged as it’s the main way to obtain large quantity of leather and meat, but instead plant farms which are more sustainable should be the go to. Maybe to increase the use of plants over cows is the Xp gained from using the alternatives and the returns being greater. I think this would be a great addition to Minecraft as it would create a hidden educational structure to the game. Also the sound of cows n animals crowded and bopping in a 1 by 1 has got to be the most annoying sound in the game at the moment. Would love to see some sort of implementation of This be put into the game. Great game though keep it up.

    This! Also for ideas: make it so books etc can be made of cloth instead of leather, which could be made of string in the loom? And nerf meat, not only to discourage killing but also to balance cooking!
