Hi, one of the oldest features of minecraft is weather. It hasn't been changed for 10 years. Update to weather would be very interesting. First thing to change is biome temperature. Biomes should have 2 variables: temperature and humidity. It's strange, that hot biomes like jungle are moderate, and really dry biomes like tundra are recieving precipitation just because they are cold. Second thing to change, is types of weather and their impact on player and environment. In minecraft we have only 3 weathers: clear, rain and storm. None of these impact player in any way (storm sometimes causes fires, but they die out quickly). My suggestions are blizzard, hail, landspout, fog and strong wind. Each of these would do something. Blizzard would cause water freezing and snowfall in moderate biomes; hail would just slightly hurt entities; landspout would break ONLY blocks like crops, leaves and grass and throw dropped items and entities around, but not killing them, they would be made of particles; fog would be just fog, decreasing visibility; and strong wind would just push entities and items and would be great for elytra flight. None of these are very destructive nor deadly. Third thing to update, is how weather works. Instead of global weather, there would be 500×500 areas moving with the wind. Also, it would be reason for first thing to update. Rain, storm, hail, etc. would build up over warm and humid biomes, like in real world. Clouds would still be big white (or gray) cuboids.
