    Why not Husks, instead?

Zeffi Toto well, I am giving off an idea/suggestion that logically makes sense. The husk works too, as there is a separate suggestion for that here (It's based on each zombie type dropping a different metal ingot). If you like that idea instead of mine, you can vote for that there. I figured I would offer an alternative based upon environment instead of mob type.

Nah, Drowneds dropping Copper is definitely much more interesting and contributes more to the mob itself since Zombified Piglins already serve the purpose of being a renewable source of Gold! Drowneds dropping gold makes them more unique and farming them more relevant

We already discussed this on Discord, I do agree with you, but it looks like Jeb isn't going to change his mind and gold farms will continue to receive repeated nerfs.

Why did they give Drowned Zombies a gold ingot drop feature only to be taking it away later on? I don't like it when developers do insane stuff like this, as it just adds confusion and annoys people.

I'm definitely not in the camp of people who support the gold drop removal from Drowned Zombies. If it were up to me I would have instead given Drowned Zombies the ability to drop either gold or copper ingots, but be entirely chance based, meaning sometimes they will drop nothing which is a sensible balancing decision. On topic of your opinion I'd be okay with Strays dropping copper instead, but this isn't going to happen and it isn't up to us because it isn't our intellectual property unfortunately, although us paying for a copy of it does mean our desires for content should be respected.
