    Actually you cant get dirt by crafting Dirt and Gravel(renewable thru Piglins) into Coarse Dirt, then use a hoe on the coarse dirt to turn all of it into regular dirt. Kind of convoluted and unintuitive, but dirt is technically renewable.

    I agree though, the composter producing dirt makes sense (more sense than bonemeal, but I guess this bones and the MC-equivalent to fertilizer then that's the logic) so it should be added, or maybe Mulch could be added on which crops could be planted and over time the mulch turns into regular dirt as crops grow. But maybe that's too complicated. Regardless, all the basic terrain blocks should still be easily renewable so the terrain doesn't have to be destroyed to build with the materials.
