As vezes o cobre não quer quebrar, mesmo com picareta de netherite, tenho que tentar quebrar três ou mais vezes para sair

I think it's a bit counterintuitive that all other smeltable metal ores can be made into armor, but Copper can't. For a new player, all of these new metals (Not to mention all of the stone variants) could be confusing if they aren't thought out. Granted, Copper isn't a great material for armor, not compared to Iron at least, but perhaps Copper armor could have other uses - Maybe it can be enchanted to be more powerful, like Gold. But adding Copper armor also necessitates extra balancing, and a place in the growing tree of armor types. I think that in order to make adding more metals make sense, they need equipment trees, and in order to make the equipment make sense in the grander scheme, the tier system needs to be overhauled, first.

My suggestion would be to sort armor into types, and sort them into tiers within those types: For instance, Hard Metals like Iron or Netherite might have the best durability and protection, Soft Metals like Gold and Copper might get better enchantments, and Stone armors like Diamond could have better blast resistance and armor toughness. Then, any new armors that get added will have a natural place in the tree.

Also, I think that giving the Drowned copper could be a fun - Maybe they're the Sea Peoples who purportedly caused the Bronze Age Collapse, ha ha!

Idk... if they keep copper as not being able to be made into armor, it will set a precedent that not all metals need to be made out of armor. If they make copper armor, if they add another metal like tin or silver or platinum they will be pretty much forced to make a gear out of it.

For everyone who's suggesting copper could become an "early-game iron," this cannot happen without adding a copper gear and changing iron so its harder to get and a billion other things that would make obtaining iron so much more tedious. Due to the commonality of iron, copper being an early-game version of it can never happen.

Copper should be waxed with Wax.
The Wax is obtained by burning a honeycomb in a furnace.

If copper is going to primarily be a building block then they should generate in much bigger blobs instead of just 4 or 8, similar to coal.

make the normal copper block from 9 ingots, just like every other block and make the rustable block that you make the stuff out of from either 4 ingots->1block or some other variotion of blocks

copper seems like one of those ores that is being kicked aside, like lapis, i think copper could be used with redstone to make some new contraptions, like faster rails, time set redstone block(sets of a redstone signal or lets a redstone signal pass by every time a time is chosen) but if this were is game it would probably have to have some tight limits to not make minecraft cookie clicker

Redstone idea on Copper (if this isnt submitted already)

Copper is of course a conductor in terms of electricity and I think this would be a great opportunity to have Copper as a Redstone conductor, meaning, it can behave as redstone dust lines to max 15 blocks of distance. This would give Redstones the possibility to have vertical "lines" for example. Of course anything that can be powered with them will, so they may not the best for compact redstone contraptions but it would be a cool block to use if you need to be somewhere with your redstone line that is more difficult to do with normal Redstone dust + you cant or dont want to use redstone torches to get up.

Im not a Redstone expert though, but I figured ever since the announcement of Copper, that this form of conductor is ideal to be used with Copper (and btw should only apply to the normal full blocks of copper).

Potential idea to use the other weathered Copper blocks as less redstone power to travel through.

Now that waxing also protects copper from being de-weathered by lightning, we should be allowed to wax fully-oxidized copper. Like imagine you spent literal ages waiting for your copper to fully oxidize, you weren't allowed to wax it, and then you built something with it that got hit by lightning. I know lightningrods are supposed to be a way around this issue, but still, it would be nice to have both don't you think?

Waxed oxidized copper blocks should be added. Some players may not want their fully oxidized copper blocks to revert if hit by lightning, and waxing any level of copper prevents it from being reverted by lightning.

Copper is a good idea! I have a few suggestions
    1. Copper Wrench! This tool would allow you to easily rotate blocks without replacing them, switch redstone states, and finally pose armor stands on java!
    2. Redstone Lantern! A lantern made of copper that also doubles as a redstone torch.
    3. Wire Mesh! These fences can be placed vertically or horizontally. When placed, they allow items and liquids to go through, but not players.
    4. (This would require MTEs for Java, but its very much possible) A magnet!
Pretty self explanatory, pulls metals and anything attached to them towards it when powered. Different metals could have different pull strengths, with netherite pulling the fastest.

Copper needs more uses, especially ones with limited lifespans such as tools. Currently after getting one lightningrod and one spyglass it will mostly be an annoyance filling up your chests.

    Copper is still super expensive.

Can there be a new villager type like a Jeweler that trades copper and gems like lapis and amethyst, maybe even trades us gold. Also their workstations could be used in a similar fashion as the stonecutter but for copper blocks to efficiently make cut copper stairs.

either this or raise the drop rates for copper from drowned.

(I prefer the new villager though, i like villagers)

Copper should only oxidize on sides that are exposed to air.

The new 21w11a features with vopper are great! I like that you have to interact with the blocks in the game instead of crafting them but I think it should have a sound when you wax or un-wax a copper block.

Maybe use something called a Forge instead of a stone cutter for cutting ores and for wood use a sawblade.

As it stands right now, copper feels pretty useless.
After I have mined maybe 30 of it to make some lightning rods, I usually never touch it again.

When I am digging out a large tunnel and copper ends up being in the way, it is usually one of the first things to get trashed after I get back to the surface again.

Needs more unique uses. Only really useful for building as of now.

A cool extension to the use of copper could be the introduction of heat transfer. For example, if a block such as lava is underneath a copper block, then the heat of that lava will transfer over to the copper; heating it, and creating an effect similar to magma blocks, such as: whirlpool bubble columns, player damage from standing on it, and a low light emission.

Let's change the mechanism of progression in tools/armour, by using smithing table.
1 tier above iron will be gilded tools/armour - make them by put iron tools into smithing tables and gold ignot.
1 tier above gilded will be rose gold (or red gold) - adding gilded tools and copper ignot into smthing table.
1 tier above will be dimond tools and you will make tham like always.
Also thats mean that normal gold armour could be removed.
It will ad more functionality to smithing table and copper.

We need to have copper pipes to enhance hopper systems and give a use to copper after having a telescope and multiple lightning rods.

I like the idea of copper, but coupled with its replacement of some iron, it needs more recipes. We really need ways to help the early game with iron being basically out of reach early now. So, add copper buckets and copper shears. Copper tools would be nice, too, although not useful unless they're between stone and iron, which doesn't make much sense hardness-wise.

we need copper pipes for hopper systems, these would funnel items through almost instantly, however only one kind of item could go through at a time, it would only be able to recieve items from hoppers, and it would have no inventory selection

Maybe copper pipes that could be connected to the funnel would be useful for sending things, hoppers would then only serve to send things from the chest, dispenser, dropper, and the pipe would send from the hopper to the hopper, if such a tube was connected to one sides, would spit items on the other side, useful for different machines.
