Pipes can carry 1 item at a time. In order to put items into pipes, you need the bottom part of a hopper to connect to them. In order to take items out of pipes, you need to connect a pipe to the top of a hopper. There are 2 types of pipes:
- Straight Pipes: They are crafted with 6 copper (in two horizontal/vertical parallel lines separated by space) for 16 straight pipes. Straight pipes have 6 block states for each direction, and will face away from the direction you're facing when placed. Straight pipes have an arrow on them indicating which direction they'll transport items. Straight pipes can be placed parallel to each other without connecting.
- Connector Pipes: They are crafted with 4 copper (on each corner) for 6 connector pipes. Connector pipes will connect to other connector pipes, the top of hoppers, hoppers that face them, and straight pipes facing towards/opposite from them. Connector pipes will move items to the top of hoppers, or to straight pipes facing opposite from them; If neither are connected, items in connector pipes won't move, unless there's a connector pipe below which items will fall to. If a connector pipe is only connected to 1 thing, it will form a "dead end".
This will allow cheaper and more customizable item transportation than just hoppers.
