Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I entirely support this as it would make it possible to now have cave fog without annoying game-wide fog !

I was thinking having fogstone seeds which would grow upwards or diag or a bit sideways like a chorus with only one head, the fogstone could grow up to the surface and bloom, with a less and less pure fogstone, which would allow different levels of fog through the ground.
By selectively replacing some bedrock from the top bedrock layer with an algorithm that would not allow artificial spawning appart if someone breaks bedrock (which would be a funny easter) : if there is more than A bedrocks, we do not replace any bedrocks, if there is less than A-B (A minus B) bedrocks, we do note replace bedrock by fogseed.
But if there is less than A and more than A-B, then, calling that number X, we replace X-(A-B) bedrocks, leading to fogrock formation. Fogrock would be boosted under warden cities or other biomes. Would allow to fog the skies, and would allow defogging the undergrounds.

A nice fogtree would bloom only when conditions are met.

This would allow a reasonable fog implementation in the game instead of forcing fog on players.

Bedrock fog can be nice but if you base at theses levels it gets annoying.

Fogrock could be algorithmically prone to root inside bedrock before sprouting up, leading to the same results.

Right now, if you fly high in the sky no matter the view distance, the ground gets culled because of some "fog culling" optimisation it'd be nice not to have..
