I'm gonna be so honest, as a MacOS user and with only java to hear windows have both, it makes me bummed that I'm not able to play Bedrock with my friends, and it makes things harder with having to change devices just to play bedrock.

Minecraft Bedrock .ipa file can run on apple silicon Mac natively, through playcover nightly build or sideloadly, but login doesn't work with error code "drowned".

As a Minecraft Bedrock creator with 400k+ subscribers, I can confidently say there is real demand for an official macOS version. Apple Silicon Macs are powerful enough, and an official release would benefit creators, students, and casual players alike. Please make Minecraft Bedrock available on macOS.

Microsoft should really add Bedrock to MacOS, but they won’t spend a dollar on putting in effort to bring it to MacOS, even though many people want it on MacOS.

Microsoft will instead invest their money into making new OS’s that are crashing, and their AI servers for Copilot which everyone hates…

Bringing Minecraft: Bedrock Edition natively to macOS is one of the most commercially sound, low-friction growth opportunities currently available to Microsoft and Mojang Studios. Apple holds approximately 14–15% of the global desktop operating system market share, with Apple Silicon (M-series) chips representing roughly 80% of active Mac devices. Because Apple Silicon shares the same ARM64 architecture as iOS and iPadOS—where Bedrock already runs smoothly—the engineering overhead required to bring Bedrock to macOS is exceptionally low. macOS currently stands as the only major modern consumer operating system excluded from Bedrock, while Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and Chromebooks all enjoy native cross-play.
By limiting Mac users exclusively to Java Edition, Microsoft is locking out millions of potential players from the Minecraft Marketplace, Bedrock Realms, and seamless cross-platform play with console and mobile friends. Expanding Bedrock to macOS aligns directly with Microsoft's existing "Java & Bedrock Edition" bundle strategy on PC, unifying player ecosystems while tapping into Apple’s high-ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) demographic to unlock significant, untapped microtransaction and subscription revenue.

Apple’s Market share is increasing year by year, but developers (like microsoft) don’t care about the users, like how Samsung or other RAM manufacturers don’t care about the users about the RAM price increases… Only Apple cares about its users, and would be great if Apple would buy Minecraft from Microsoft and bring this compatibility…

Minecraft Bedrock is officially on MacOS with some work arounds. I'm using an android emulator called bluestacks allowing me to run Minecraft Bedrock edition.

I agree. They should make Bedrock Edition available for Linux and older Intel macs too, in my opinion.

I actually bought a Mac version because my iPad is old and it lags when I play with my daughter. And was so disappointed that I can't play with her. Or make bedrock for Mac or make it easy to play java + bedrock.

Apple Silicon Macs already run iPad apps natively. Minecraft Bedrock already runs on iOS/iPadOS, and Minecraft Education Edition already supports macOS. Please give Mac users an official Bedrock release so they can play with the same Bedrock ecosystem as mobile, console and Windows players.

Please, Mojang. If you are reading this, please make an official response or ETA at 3000 votes. The fact that the app already runs well natively and functions rather smoothly on MacOS via personal ipa signing yet simply fails to allow multiplayer authentication is absurd. Using tools like stratoshark and jailbroken devices with exposed SSH, reverse engineering this auth for a community-maintained version might be possible in the near future, but why would you want that? Why not give the players what they want and increase the player base on your most profitable version of the game? Why limit parity of hardware when the approved definitions of game parity have already been defined? Why create suffering in exchange for digital isolation within those who are most loyal to you? Why wait to let connection and harmony grow and succeed? Please, Mojang. Don't turn away from this opportunity to authentically demonstrate how much you genuinely care about what the players want, rather than just saying so.

Can we not get official Mac release for bedrock? Apple Silicons macs are already powerful enough, with how developers are porting their triple A games over to mac. I believe that already proofs enough. I hope Microsoft/Xbox Game Studios/Mojang taken a look at this.

It would be good for the players on macOS to play Bedrock because most players want to play with their friends, who are mobile players, but the thing that is stopping macOS players is that they cannot join or even run Bedrock, And i am seeing far many bedrock players telling their java friends to make a server to run a 3rd party app to cross play with each other and not everyone wants to do that and it would be so much simple if they added it on macOS since i did pay for both Bedrock and Java and im tired of having to play on a WIndows Laptop and it lags a lot so please add Bedrock to macOS it's what we minecraft users want.

I just need to weigh in here again after all this time. I currently play on an iPad with controller so I can play/stream from a Bedrock Realm I pay for and play in with my friends. I've been invited to a friend's Java world, and I'd love to join, but I would not be able to join without re-buying the game for my Mac. But honestly, I'm so frustrated and angry that Mojang refuses to release a Mac OS version that includes Bedrock (when they obviously could, considering they've already made a silicon native version for iOS AND the education edition runs Bedrock on Mac), I refuse to reward them for this by spending more money to get half the value I'd get if I had a Windows PC. My one purchase probably means very little to Mojang or Microsoft, but it is what it is.
