Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Scoped crossbow

How about this: putting a telescope in a crafting table with a lead and a crossbow will give you a scoped crossbow. Note the scope doesnt do anything to the crossbow like make it do more damage ect.

    A recipe for a [Crossbow with Scope] would be an excellent addition to the game. As some comments below have stated, however, there should be no way to enhance a [Crossbow with Scope] any further; that means no new enchantments, and no base enhancements like improved accuracy or reduced bolt drop from creating the item. Minecraft has a medieval fantasy setting, and enhancing the crossbow any further would in my opinion be crossing a line from what the game currently provides players with and a first-person shooter with building and survival aspects.

    One thing I disagree with about the original post is the necessity of a [Lead] in the recipe, which in my opinion seems like a logical but unnecessarily complicating requirement. There are quite a few recipes currently in the game that don't exactly adhere to logical craftsmanship, so there shouldn't be any reason to start adding complex recipes - a simple [Crossbow] + [Telescope] will suffice.

    There should be an option where the you only look through the scope when you are sneaking/crouching to relieve trouble when using it at close range. When not sneaking/crouching, it works like a normal crossbow, but you are not seeing through the scope.

    But like a glass bottle above the crossbow with copper to make the scooped crossbow

    While I'm completely for this idea, I see a few problems. First and foremost, the crossbow, while significantly better than its bow counterpart still isn't exactly what I would call a very "Long range" weapon as it still has the ark of an arrow. Unless Mojang changes the crossbow entirely I don't know if this concept has much purpose (Also, any change to make the crossbow a straighter shot would likely make the weapon completely over powered). So to put it simply, I think the scope would simply get in the way and not find its way into most combat scenarios unless something is changed to give it more of a prominent use.

    We really need this. It could condense two items down to one and improve PvP a lot, although it feels like a gun tbh.
