Scoped crossbow

How about this: putting a telescope in a crafting table with a lead and a crossbow will give you a scoped crossbow. Note the scope doesnt do anything to the crossbow like make it do more damage ect.

    I think it would be cool if you could do this with a fletching table and you get to keep your enchantments.

    They should make it to when you use the scope, you use left click to shoot.

    It would be good if they put a controlled zoom on the telescope, so you can see from any distance. sniper style but with the crossbow

    This would be really cool. A way to aim down a scope with a bow marks the first instance Minecraft has supported long-range combat. I like it. Could you also hand these scoped crossbows to pillagers, which would allow them to shoot you from farther away? This could be really interesting during raids.

    This is a great idea and I had some ideas to elaborate on it:

    - Using right click with a loaded scoped crossbow enters the scope, and left click fires the arrow as you can't punch while using a spyglass anyway.

    - The spyglass could increase the accuracy of the crossbow, but not affect range or damage.

    - If the scoped crossbow is unloaded and you have no arrows in your inventory it just acts like a regular spyglass

    This would make the crossbow far more effective for long range combat, a much needed change as the crossbow remains inferior to the bow in the current game.

    this is a great idea indeed, but the crossbows should also have more precision since its the same as the bow in-game... crossbows should be a lot more precise than bows.

    lol I had the same idea. And because some people had the same idea, it means its a good idea! Also, I think that maybe the scope would change how far you see with it, not damage, range, or accuracy.

    and for the people that say it would be hard to add it cuz you draw the crossbow back after you draw it back, you can then click right-click (or whatever is the use button in your Minecraft) and enter the scope

    I think that with the scopes crossbow certain crossbow enchants should be incompatible like multi shot

    Yeah! A scoped crossbow would be amazing, but I think we could go further. How about being able to spawn a sniper illager with the scoped crossbow? That would be something! In fact, we should give these weapons to piglins!
