Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

It could just be like a kind of floating redstone.

Yes this is a good way to use copper! In my opinion you could also make it so that copper wire could reach longer distances than redstone. However copper wire would also require a diffrent and rarer material to craft it. And there could be a copper wire to redstone converter. And with the help of instalers you could also place copper wire upside down and not just having it hang there. However redstone would still be required for things like pistons dispencers etc.

Redstone dust + copper = conductive material (CM)
Redstone block = power supply (PSU)

If you use CM on a block, that block becomes conductive (CB) and can transmit signals to other CBs (which must be placed next to each other, i.e. face to face connection).
This will work the same as waxing a copper block, so there will be no change in appearance, only data.
If you place a PSU next to a CB, current flows through all connected CBs for a maximum distance in all directions.
The PSU provides a lot of current compared to a button, lever or sensor.
Redstone dust and other components can be used as usual, these are just features to add without removing anything.
Scissors can be used to remove conductive material from a block.
A CB has the same name of the original block with just "Conductive BlockName" as label.

Long story short: "waxing" a block using the new CM makes a block conductive.
Sounds easy and cool, doesn't it? Adding only 1 more item and editing an existing one.

ps. in the future they can add "batteries" to store energy (for example from thunderbolts) and keeping the mindset of "green energy".

Redstone IS Minecraft electricity and copper wires should be vertical redstone. A bit more expensive for the convenience of going straight up or straight down.

Yeah. They could be crafted with copper and redstone, and transfer power like redstone, but they would be placed like chain blocks or like chorus plant blocks, connecting to adjacent ones and being placeable mid-air.

Waxing them could protect them against water too, allowing underwater circuits.

Their downside could be that they do not produce power themselves; they only transfer it. So redstone would still be needed.

And for the crafting you should use a copper ingot and two leather which would give you four copper wires

Yes mojang please add this one and add a tool to make a hole in any block where you put a tube and insert wire ! Such a cool idea dude . And you could add solar panels to connect wires for electricity
