Damage when punching trees

You should take small amounts of damage when punching trees without an axe. Or punching stone without a pick etc

 

This would only apply to harder difficulties. Maybe only half a heart per log

    That Is the most Stupidest Thing I have Ever Heard. For the Player Take damage from a Block that needs an Axe or Pickaxe That would Need lots of Programming and Bug Fixes, and it would not Work well for a Lot of People, and it would Waste Any food you might have in your Inventory if any at All.

    No. What even possessed you to even think this would be a good idea? This would make damage unavoidable in sessions like Hardcore where you start with nothing at all. In Hard and Hardcore modes you have to avoid as much damage as possible to avoid starvation early on.

    How about you can get infections by scraping up dirt with your hands and getting it lodged under your fingernails too? Bad idea

    This idea literally ruins minecraft. The first thing you do in minecraft by default is punch trees. It may hurt in real life but just a PSA that minecraft =/= real life

    I would say no. My reason for saying no is because Minecraft is more of a sandbox game than it is a survival game.

    I dont think that could be a mc thing cause there is a lot of mods doing that. That could be a future that can be a on/off future in the setting's. And there is a lot of mods doing that.

    Yeah, no thx. This feature would have been OK if minecraft had started with it, but putting it in now would just break the core machanics of the Minecraft that we know and love. Maybe it would have a glimmer of hope if instead of taking damage from would and stone, just taking damage from punching stone. Also at the time of me posting this it is on 69 votes. Noice

    Do you realize how much this game has changed already by the roots? Because that idea hurts. What kind of cement head would come up with such a bad idea? The only way this would be good is if it added a new mode called extreme or something. There are 100s of mods out there that do the same thing, this isn't original, chap.

    No. Just no. For one, this is an awful feature in games, including ARK. Second, this isn't Fundy's datapack, they're not altering a fundamental feature to make it harder. Minecraft is arguably made for all ages, and if children kept dying from punching trees it'd be off-putting. Third... Just why? Why change a feature to make it more obnoxious?
