Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Yes, this is a fantastic idea, I was just complaining about this the other day to people on my server. It would be so nice if you could see people on the map while it was in the frame. It would look nice and it would be so much easier than switching maps back and forth all the time trying to find someone.

No. I hate magic GPS. It shouldn't exist in minecraft. Unless you can craft a complex satellite and an entire space infrastructure, you shouldn't be able to put a GPS tracker on me. Maybe you also want a mechanic where you don't have to milk the cows, but buckets of milk just appear in your inventory, or you don't have to chop trees for wood, etc.

Good idea if it was a separate type of item frame with this functionality beacuse otherwise I would have lag concerns about lag.

And how about having multiple map locators in a item frame that basically shows multiple maps together and having the locations of the players! For example: a 3X3 map that shows one player in the top left and another player in the middle!

To add to this, I think the best way to avoid it feeling broken would be to make it so that players not on the map displayed would only show up if in the area of that map. Other than that this should be a mandatory snap pick quality of life update, cannot imagine upgrading your maps, exploring the whole thing, just to put it in an item frame for the war room and having it literally stop working.

Edit:I would also like to see dispensers/droppers be able to put items into item frames, this would enable a lot of new redstone to foolery but primarily a way to confirm a trap or other device has triggered from a distance.

Yes, this should be a feature. Isn't this already possible in java edition? If so, please add to Bedrock!

Love this idea. I would KILL to be able to make a radar in minecraft for my base, without having to hold the map in hand.

I am making Phasmophobia in Minecraft using redstone, built a huge electronic map display above the building with all the routes on it so that players inside would show their location just like on the monitors in the van in the actual game. Was disappointed to see a small unmoving green marker where the item frame is. Players now have to hold the map in their hand and I have to trust them not to leave the van with it. I hope this becomes a feature soon!
