Maybe balance this out with needing more then one regular arrow for one lingering arrow.

I actually like that cauldrons can be used to make tipped arrows with splash potions, it gives more use to the cauldron and makes sense. But, I think this is a Bedrock only feature, for whatever reason.

I'm surprised that this isn't its use already. But I kinda want to see what Mojang would do with it.

Funnily enough, I had this same idea before I saw this post, although I imagined the potion slot being located above the arrow slot. Here's a mock-up gui that I designed for the fletching table.

Also, I think that it would be best to let the player put in up to 8 arrows, just like in the crafting grid, where more would cause the arrow to have an x over it, similar to an anvil or villager.

I was gonna come up with the same idea. Use the table to make tipped arrows. I love it it makes sense but we would need 3 slots for the arrow, potion and maybe dragons breath. Or just 2 slots for the lingering potion and arrow.

I had a similar idea, however, on bedrock 64 tipped arrows can already be made in a cauldron with only 3 regular potions. Lingering potions are hard to get for many players especially early or mid game which would make this unusable for most players. I think that regular potions should be used in the table. I would say approximately 32 arrows to a potion to make this more useful than cauldrons on bedrock. The idea of having 1 arrow produce multiple arrows makes sense as well, however I would only do one or the other. Finally, I would also consider having the ability to add multiple potions to the arrow at the table. I would say up to 4 potions should be allowed. Obviously, effects such as healing and harming could not be applied together (or maybe they could and would just cancel out, I'm not sure). Either way, I think this would be the best idea for the fletching table because it is fairly useful and goes along with the theme of the table.

Yes, but calibrate so that all the already existing features are not removed but balanced. For example:

On the crafting table: 8 arrows + lingering potion = 8 tipped arrows (all level 1 and minimum duration even with longer/level 2 potions).

In a cauldron: 16 arrows + cauldron filled with a potion = 16 tipped arrows (all level 1 and minimum duration even with longer/level 2 potions).

On a fletching table: 16/32/64 arrows + normal/splash/lingering potion = 16/32/64 tipped arrows (respectively and all with the potion's level or duration).

Additionally, adding a way to make normal arrows on the fletching table twice as profitable.

Would love to see this but instead of removing the crafting table recipe why not allow for a easier way to create tipped arrows by just allowing a splash/regular potion as others have said(downside being like reduced how many arrows you get or increasing how many from lingering etc).

Would allow players post nether to get more out of the nether but not OP for early game players / Not useless Post enderdragon
