Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    Alloy age

Different alloy ratios or temperatures will have different textures and strengths.
Such as iron-carbon alloys, there are many types.

I agree with everything except the iron & steel looks: steel should be darker than iron because of higher carbon content. The Netherite Block's texture is so simple too, so its texture should really be given to a Block of Steel and the netherite be changed to something more lustrous and like a trophy, worthy of the painstaking effort it actually takes to make one.

Following from @GONG BO-LIN, there should be a system for alloy ratios if this blast furnace idea is to be fully fleshed-out. Perhaps a grid-like system or just placing the items in and a ratio appearing in a dialogue box, showing for each item put in. For example:   6 iron ingots, 2 coal, 1 gold ingot shows up as 6 : 2 : 1 with the corresponding items below each number. This to me seems an intuitive way to introduce players to a complex alloy-forging system.

Sorry, I mean that alloy systems need not only ratios, but also temperature control and time, just like the four processes of heat treatment in engineering materials (normalizing, continuous, tempering, quenching)
Each process is treated differently. Even if the ratio is the same, the division of the elements will be different, which will lead to different properties of the alloy.

Therefore, I think that this alloy system has processing method options in addition to proportions, so it includes heat treatment (normalizing, continuous, tempering and quenching), and the value of the tool will change less. Perhaps an exclusive enchanting method of turning heat treatment into a tool is also a way of thinking.

I think it should be simple and more like crafting with fuel and metals

    This is a fantastic idea.
