With the new Nether Update snapshots just coming out, I was reminded with something I have wanted to see for a long time in Minecraft, player created biomes! One of my favorite new nether biomes is the striking Warped Forest, and I immediately started thinking about making one in the overworld. The problem is, the atmosphere created by the dark blue haze and warped spores swirling around doesn't transfer outside of the original biome chunks. That's why I want to see biomes that aren't set but adapt freely based on the blocks placed around them, altering some spawns and changing the color of grass and water.
A few examples could be:
Surface level sand, sandstone, cacti, and dead bushes would change an area to a desert, reducing or removing rain and allowing Husks to spawn.
Jungle trees, grass, vines, and bamboo would make a jungle biome, allowing parrots and ocelots to spawn, while also changing leaves and grass to a vibrant "jungle green."
And what sparked this post, warped nylium, warped fungi, and giant warped fungi would form a warped forest biome, making a blue haze and causing spore particles to swirl in the air.
Instead of clearing out and filling in a swamp biome and still having to deal with gross green water in your swimming pool, you should be able to terraform the biome to your liking, creating new landscapes and ecosystems to fit your needs.
