Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Adding to your idea, what about ballistas and hwachas?

Ballistas: Spawn naturally in pillager outposts, or can be crafted with a crossbow in the middle, iron ingots to the sides and a base of wood planks. To use, you place it down, and it is loaded with an arrow. after a 4 sec. reload it can be fired. Dismounting the ballista returns the arrow if it had not been fired. An average hit would do 15 damage but it can vary. However, effect of armor is halved. The ballista would mainly be useful as a defensive weapon due to it's lack of mobility.

Hwachas: Used by pillagers in raids, the Hwacha is an extremely inaccurate siege weapon. It can be crafted with a dispenser in the middle, an iron block to the right and wood planks on the bottom. It would be loaded with up to 32 arrows and an equal amount of gunpowder, and fired by right clicking it with a flint and steel/ fire charge. It can be placed on the ground and faces away from the player on placement.  In raids, a single Hwacha will spawn on top of a Ravager, escorted by 2 pillagers and a vindicator. if a player does not attack them the vindicator will load the hwacha and fire it once. The hwacha is then dissembled (removed from the ravager) and the group would join the attack. The Hwacha on firing, launches the loaded arrows up to 2 chunks away. When the arrows land, they start fires and do damage (7-9). However, the arrows are very inaccurate (varying up to 60 degrees).

An amazing idea, not too overpowered since it's manual reload, another idea, not only can you put in boulders, but also multiple blocks for a shotgun style effect, and probably some rudimentary sight, nothing special and nothing too detailed or accurate, but with like a 5 block deviation in the sights, could be 5 to the left or right, and changes each time you use it, would make it just a little less OP, so you are able to aim, without being able to immediately kill players every time.

A practical, fun idea. It should probably work like an entity (like a boat) so the player can move it around/lead it. It would also be fun if the player themselves can be launched from the catapult. Maybe another input could prompt a UI to input certain blocks & ingredients for additional effects.
