Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

i bet they are going to do this in the future. seems weird they would only do this for stones.

    Yeah it's pretty odd

Please also make it so that blocks on top of the stone cutter and wood cutter are dropped as items. So we don't have to trap a wither to make a tree farm.

OR... the wood cutter keeps the same recipe, and the stone cutter requires a diamond. diamond saw blades are what we use in real life to cut stone.

Absolutely. It should be usable just like stonecutter, but I'd love if it could also be automated: it could automatically craft certain things, when combined with an input and output hopper. Wood would come out as stripped wood, and stripped wood as planks, and planks as sticks, for example. I'd love to be able to build my own automated sawmill!

They should also include a feature where if you stand on the wood/stone cutter blade part you take damage because it’s an open blade I mean, come on.

Wood cutter should work for other wood products like doors (two planks) and trapdoors (one plank).

So, seeing as the stonecutter's recipe uses iron for the blade, what if the woodcutter (or sawmill?) used stone for the blade? It might not necessarily be a "realistic" idea, but it feels nice and consistent in my opinion due to the usual progression of tool materials. In this case, the saw blade material is one "tier" above the material it's cutting-

Iron blade on stonecutter: iron > stone

Stone blade on woodcutter: stone > wood

They should put it on. I don't understand why it didn't occur to them

They should also change paper recipe for it to be created using a woodcutter, since paper comes from trees, not sugarcanes.

Well, I think it would be better to extend the stonecutter recipies to wood, instead of making a separate block: it would be less redundant.

Also, it would be really nice if it could craft stripped logs and wood blocks (the not directional ones) from logs.

The Wood Cutter could have 2 slots, one where you place your planks, and another where you'd place a door, a slab, a fence, or any other "wood furniture" item

When placing items in both slots, the "wood furniture" would have its wood type changed to the planks type you added

I think it would be best to just add this functionality to the stonecutter. If you think the name "stonecutter" is a problem, then just rename the block to "cutter" or "saw" or something like that.

I think woodcutters should also be able to carve different faces into pumpkins

It would make more sense to call it a sawmill, but otherwise I really like this idea!

There should also be a villager profession called the carpenter to go along with the woodcutter

Maybe they could change Stone Cutter to Block Cutter and just let it make things like stairs and slabs, not fences or chests.

Also, a new villager profession with the WoodCutter block, the Lumberjack. He will trade saplings, logs, leaves, and enchananted axes
