Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Banner Wearing (Similar to Illager Captain)

This is just a small fun little addition to the game, you can now wear banners by placing them in your head slot. It does not provide protection or any bonuses except looking different. This idea came from the Illager Captain wearing a banner. It would look just like that except with the banner of your choice. And if perhaps anyone wanted to add functionality to it, maybe the Illager Captain would specifically seek out whoever is wearing a banner, or maybe would be neutral to a player wearing an Illager Banner as a small little Easter Egg. Also, not completely sure where this post should go...

    I just love the idea of servers using this for mini games. And I feel that even this small feature would add so much to the game.

    I think it should be added since illager captains wears it on them and so should players.This update on banners would be awesome

    This is technically already possible with the /replaceitem command, but I agree that it should be a natural feature available in survival. This adds just a little more use for banners other than being decoration (and the relatively obscure use of being markers on a map).

    first when the illager update came i didnt even know how to put a banner on my head but it would be an awesome feature to the game just to be able to wear a pattern (on a banner)

    I also agree that this would be an immensely immersive feature as it would add a sort of way to connect with the pillagers. going with this I think there should more banners that have custom names like the "Ominous Banner".

    You can put banners on your head using commands, but there is no way to do it regularly, so yes that would be very good!

    Yes please add this. It could be like the same way you put a helmet on your head just drag and drop or shift click. I am on a server right now and the only way we can signify our clans in battle is with shields but not all of us like to use shields in our off hand all the time(I personally put my bow in my off hand), so it is hard to tell sometimes. I think this would be great and even better if you could figure out a way to have this with a helmet at the same time. I hope this gets added because it would be so cool with minigames to signify teams if you like to keep minigames command free or if you are in a survival world or SMP.

    They could add a new equipped inventory space for just you're back and only available to banners and backpacks/satchels
