Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    I like it, however, stacking to 16 is a bit much, allow it to stack to 4, which may be a bit more balenced. Also, when throwing it should do less damage, to prevent people from spamming them.

    Thank you for your comment.

    There would be a cooldown involved with throwing, which I would suggest should be 1/2-3/4 that of using a trident. However, I take your point about reducing the damage, which I think makes sense, so I would propose throwing deals 2HP (1 heart) less damage than wielding. On the stacking, once a cooldown is introduced there is no real difference between them and a bow, so I personally don't feel that 16 in unreasonable. However, I do agree that people shouldn't just be able to spam them, so if the cooldown isn't enough to prevent this then maye reducing the stack size is worthwhile.

    You are right, a cooldown would solve the problem, however, I saw a nice post by Machu Picchu saying that potions and soups should stack to four, and seeing this made me think in the same vein, but I think that being able to spam 4 without having a cool down would make a new playstyle. Also, the twin blade is more expensive than a sword. By design?

    Yes, the cost is deliberately more than a sword. Partially.

    If I'm honest part of the cost is just because I wanted to make the crafting recipe vaguely resemble what I had in mind. But yes, I was aware at the time and factored that in. I actually had two thoughts on that myself.

    1) Multiple twinblades. The crafting recipe could actually make 4 twinblades instead of 1, so therefore they would actually be individually cheaper than swords.

    2) Their relative power. Whilst they do -1/-2 damage compared to a sword, the fact that they can be thrown makes them more versatile. I also intended them to have a different function to the sword, which is represented by their 'slicing' ability to ignore armour (which would prove interesting when introduced to a PvP server/minigame) and their unique enchantments, in particular 'grounding', making them the first real weapon aimed at flying mobs.

    Effectively I envision the twinblade as an alternative to arrows. For me at least, making arrows is an excessively exhausting process, requiring me to kill a chicken and dig through lots of gravel. So to have an alternative would be appealing, despite the relative expense of a weapon. In addition, the stackability and faster-than-arrow cooldown make them a potentially lethal ranged weapon.

    At first I didn't read the enchantments, but now I have, and I have two problems. One being lethality, doing poison is a bit much, something you would think would be a potion effect. Grounding is good, but perhaps it should instead pull the mob to the ground so one may hit it, as smite means to break the undead mobs bones, and sharpness is to cut living mobs' flesh bane of Arthropods hits the exoskeleton, so it doesn't make sense for flying mobs, with various different physiologies to be effected by one same enchantment.

    I take your point on Lethality basically being a potion. I don't have a particularly strong attachment to the idea, so I am happy for it to be forgotten.

    I actually prefer your idea for grounding to my own, but it should still do some minor damage (maybe 1HP per 8 blocks or something) upon pulling the mob to the ground (I think it's reasonable to assume suddenly plummeting out of the sky would hurt. There could also be a 'grounded' status effect that prevents mobs from flying/jumping for 3 seconds upon hitting the ground. Higher level enchantments could therefore increase the speed of the fall and the length of the 'grounded' effect.

    I’m sorry it took me so long to see this. This is actually a very intriguing idea. Basically an axe head on each end? I’d definitely like to see this come to the game. Perhaps it’ll be possible to put it in an add on when they add custom 3D weapon support.

    In my opinion, the twinblades should work just like in Elden Ring, like a sword but with much faster attacks

    And if is to craft, just put two swords of the same material on the edges and a stick in the middle: like this
    E=empty, B=sword, S=stick
    E E B
    E S E
    B E E
