Good idea. Why not have a giant mob like in Jack and the Beanstalk? It would make it challenging for players to rob the ruins, and thus, if they succeeded, would feel all that more rewarding

Great idea. Giants have been in the game for a very long time with no place to spawn. It makes sense, they do not realy fit into normal biomes and they have quite big issues with pathfinding. But with giants biome, giants could be finally added to the world after being an unused mob for years. I also think we need more ultra rare fantasy biomes then just mushroom island.

I miss those really cool mountains you could find with the most unnatural of formations. I remember back in the old pocket edition days when you could spawn in a world of nothing but crazy cavern like mountains with big open areas of normal land surrounded by astonishing floating islands or sharp and imposing cliffs. Would be cool if I could see those again. I also wonder why mountains don't form the same way on Bedrock as they do on Java edition? The mountains are much much bigger there, and I LOVE mountains but it bothers me that I'm stuck with hills and not those gorgeous mountain ranges. Also it would be pretty cool to see a canyon styled biome that can spawn in every biome available where it's just a massive ravine that has more grasslands below for some interesting natural barriers.

This is a really cool idea, and it should be added

I like the idea, but this is something that I would like in a custom resource pack, not for the whole game.

    Did not vote.

Maybe the giant lands could have trampled versions of smaller trees and giant footprints that generate, along with dingy gray skies that imply something dreadful is afoot. Also I feel as though this would be a nice way to implement the unused giant mob, who could act like a native and free-ranging boss monster that you occasionally find in these biomes.

Although I'm not so sure about the whole "hidden civilization" thing, that feels like it could be it's own separate topic. But having a society of little people occasionally show up in a land of giants would be a nice allusion to Gulliver's Travels. Although like I said, they could just as easily be their own thing.

Oh and by strange potion I hope you mean some kind of embiggening potion, that would fit the theme and is a perfect idea for a treasure potion.

Wouldnt it be better if it was rather a dimension on its own and not a biome since the lag could be reduced and plus people would rather enjoy finding a way to a new dimension since in game there are only three in total: the overworld, the nether and the end. Is a great idea so you have my vote.

This would give Mojang a reason to implement the giant zombie into the actual game if added.

Minecraft could certainly use more fantasy variety, but...I don't know how this would be able to be implemented. A biome like this might clash with the overworld's appearance just a BIT too much as well, so I'm curious how it would blend in with the vanilla feel of the game given your description. As for mobs ignoring the player... I could see how that would balance giant mobs, but would that change the game's feel? A new mechanic is something that should be given more in depth thought than anything else, so I think if you add the biome, test it with just the raw biome first, and work from there to see what fits

-(Imagine a giant creeper too *shivers*)

Make the potion make the player larger so that they would be normal sized compared to the mobs.

You talked about Giant trees so what about a mob to protect them? It would make the wood of the tree a little more special. Someone to protect the trees > https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360047959011-Lumbedoer-Inhabitant-and-protector-of-the-Giant-Trees-

Alright, the beginning of this was a great idea, but pretty much everything after is ridiculous. All of this talk about special potions to make you giant and custom weapons just to fight giant versions of a lot of the mobs in Minecraft all just for ONE VERY RARE biome is never going to happen, and even if they did it would take years and years to create. The programmers over at Mojang aren't wizards, they can't just snap their fingers and have the magic happen. This is what I envision that they are capable of making:

-A biome that has giants spawn naturally, so the mob is finally put to use. In addition to that, giant slimes would be great as well, since you can easily customize their size with command blocks, so it wouldn't be that hard to make compared to new mobs larger than anything ever made before. Giant trees scattered around would be a good addition, but having them more spread out like in the plains would allow the giant slimes and giants to be a real threat.

The idea of ruins was pretty good, I must admit. Instead of having items that spawn in the ruins, what about having rare items like diamonds and enchantment books to spawn inside, and the giants to drop some form of new item, so if the developers find some way to make it so giants spawn in other places/situations (ex. struck by lightning) you can get the item without having to go to the biome?

I ran out of characters for the last of my version of this, so here it is.

I'm sorry if I sound rude and judgemental, I was just kinda upset so many upvotes that could easily draw the dev's attention went towards an impossible/not going to happen submission :( Again, sorry if I sound rude, it's just that too much thought went into this, and I do want to say that your idea is really good, but to actually make this would be extremely difficult.

Thanks for reading this and good luck with getting upvotes on your future submissions :D

I think that this is a cool idea but i feel like it could be more, like maybe the unused giant zombie could spawn there and maybe add more mobs like a giant creeper or a giant spider, maybe a cyclops that sleeps in caves until the player gets close, maybe it could be a boss, and maybe add more structures like a giants castle, more weapons like a giant sword, or like this one could be a drop from the cyclops like a giants club. I dont know i just feel it could be more. Well thats just my thoughts. (:

Cool! I don't know how well the giant mobs would function, but giant trees and flora would definitely be a great atmospheric addition to the game.

good idea but maybe if people think that it will make Minecraft less realistic, then what they can do is not put it into a biome but maybe make a different dimension?

this is a great idea! its an excuse, I MEAN REASON, to add the giant (giant zombie with the lack of ai), the huge slime, big phantom, and the giant magma cube, speaking of giant magma cube, since were getting a nether update for 1.16, why not giant biomes for the nether, the end, and future dimensions.
