I believe that totemic magic in Minecraft needs a bit of love, it should differ from enchantments and there should be two types, dark totems and regular totems (such as the undying totem).
An example of a dark totem could be The totem of hallucination, it would cause players to see hostile mobs that aren't even there. Much like the totem of undying it wouldn't stick around forever, it could have a durability of around 5 uses perhaps?
An example of a good totem could be The Totem of sacrifice, when used it would hand out damage to all those that are linked to it, linking would work by shift clicking by holding the totem, so if one player is attacked in steam of three, the damage that would usually be given to the one player would be shared. It's durability could be about 3 uses perhaps?
These are just examples but it would definitely float my boat is totemic magic was expanded like this. Thanks for reading!
