Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    What would it do?  I get the feeling that it would hatch an Ender dragon egg, but I need more details than that.

    Do you mean like a glass house and obsidian floor so when you put the ender dragon egg in it hatches in like maybe 1 Minecraft day

    And when it does hatch it can have black blocks bursting from it but only if you tap the teleport button after you wait one Minecraft day

    It would be cool to hatch a pet enderdragon but I doubt mojang would add it. Otherwise I think a regular furnace should be able to incubate the egg because an incubator is just a machine that maintains a warm environment for an egg and it’s reasonable that a dragon egg might need a higher heat than a chicken. My suggestion would be that you just put it in the furnace but with either a lava bucket or a nether star. The nether star being necessary would certainly help make it less unbalanced

    Crafting recipe (2 glass, 1 beacon, 5 obsidian, 1campfire
    How it works (key or trigger place the egg in the incubator and constantly place wood, coal, or charcoal and once the egg is done it will start to shake and soon the egg will disappear and a baby enderdragon will sit next to the incubator

    Use(the enderdragon once grown up will have a bar that recharges to use it’s dragon breath which will be good for collecting food and such

    Saddle the saddle can be made with 2 diamonds 1 saddle 3 obsidian 2 leather and and an eye of ender
    Or you can find it with a rare chance of spawning in the end city)

    Rage burst (once tamed if you go close by the dragon it will have a rage bar.Now the rage bar will go down slowly and if you don’t feed the dragon and the bar goes down all the way then the dragon will attack you by a dragon breath explosion and teleport back to the end

    I'm gonna give my view on what features I'd like the ender dragon to have, I'm sure many won't agree or will suggest alternatives... do so... this is just my opinion.

    After battling the ender dragon 20x there is no more end gateways to unlock, as if battling him 20x wasn't enough there is absolutely no point in doing it again, there are easier ways to farm for xp and the dragon breath isn't really that useful, if at all. Having the dragon egg as decoration is cool and all but thats it.

    It would be interesting if we could hatch it:

    • to have it has a pet that would grow if we wanted it to, so we could ride him & fly with him or just let him stay little, I think it would be cute (it would grow if fed with a food that would allow him to, different than feeding other food to replenish health);
    • breed him in a way that the kind of dragon would change depending on the enviroment (the egg would change color appropriately and the dragon skin);
    • being able to have more than one dragon (it could be done if the player fed him a special treat)
    • obviously after the dragon hatched it would have to be tamed, it would obey orders like the dog or cat in a way that it would stay put if he was lying down or following if he was standing, and perhaps shoot dragon breath.

    Giving a purpose to the egg & make going to the end more interesting. That way, the naturaly the generated mountains in the 1.18 - 1.19 would be an amazing place to make their nests & having them fly through the sky freely to a 100 block max extent from the player (with AI), making the sky more populated, and perhaps make some features related to the 1.19 update. Since, in the 1.19 we're gonna have a beast underground (warden), why not have useful cool one above ground that is the players pet (dragon).

    PS: the dragons that aren't tamed can fly around the parent if they are little or fly  through the sky if they are older, and no be bound by the 100 bock max distance from the player, other cool things can be implemented if it is so decided after, of course that the stats and such would have to be decided in a way that would'nt be to op, nor would the dragon be able to destroy blocks.

    There is a mod that allows some of thing mentioned in this comment and previous one but I'd like it to be an official feature/release of the game, I won't put the link to the mod since I don't know if I'm allowed to, but if the moderators or devs want to know just inform me. (Sorry but I couldn't fit it all 1 comment)

    Also there are some points that repeate perhaps somethings discussed in other threads, I apologise.

    I think that you should make it so that you hatch the egg in the end and than it will grow and when its full grown you have to fight it again and the fight is harder. could you do that? it would add purpose to the egg.
