Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

There is something to be said about leaving Coral a rare block that can't be replenished.  It shows how fragile these eco systems are.

However, I really like this idea for two reasons:

    1) It gives Redstoners something fun to do.

    2) Coral is still a limited resource.  The machine turns fans and coral plants into coral blocks.  It doesn't replenish them.  So the Redstone idea certainly doubles the Coral you can obtain, but after a while you'll run out of fans and plants.

I think is too complicated.Using bonemeal to grow them is what I hope. And it is the feature of Minecraft, right?

coral/coral fans (that are exposed to water) could grow (slowly, but naturally) if adjacent to a solid block (other than the block it is attached to) (stone or it's variants as well as iron, gold, or copper [and their raw variants] and finally other coral blocks)

    *Block   Coral fan

    Block     *Block

This way you can grow coral. However, some kind of activities done by players and drowned should be able to harm the coral reefs (ie, too many drowned mobs?)
