YES I have been really needing a /setbiome command because I’m making a map! It could also be very useful for map makers too

    I agree. Maybe the command would be something like /fill X Y Z X Y Z biome minecraft:plains

/setbiome x1 z1 x2 z2 [biome name]  could change grass and water colors

/fillbiome x1 z1 x2 z2 [biome name] could change the structures. for example, trees cacti or flower/ grass patches and the type and rate at which they can spawn

Adding {blend [biome name] x1 x2 z} could blend the biome you placed with nearby biomes

si!! por ejemplo en un mapa en el que quiero simular una jungla, los bloques de pasto tienen un color normal en vez del verde tan vivo de la jungla, o al simular un pantano con esa agua lodosa

    /fillbiome should work with x, y and z, not just x and z.

Would be great for mapmaking, and it wouldn't be neccessary to wait for external tools to update or to build your map in an older version.

This is a good idea. It would really help people who want to creative test their builds in the biome colours in flat worlds.

A tool like this is desperately needed. Being able to use /setbiome would really help - even in Java addition where alternatives exist, especially if we want to use the latest biomes.

As a map maker, there are far too many limitations. My current approach is to write a program that will rename region files, but since objects use absolute coordinates rather than relative coordinates that won't work for any region that uses any naturally generated structure.

the fact that in 1.17 they are adding 3d biomes makes it a perfect time to add this

I think it would be cool, but I think Smartphones will crash using this command. What to do with buildings?

    Kind regards, Herobrudi112

Minecraft anounced that in Caves and Cliffs Part 2, more than two biomes could fit into one space (at y-coordinate).

Speculation: This means that we will probably have more than one biome at one y-coordinate. So each postion in a Minecraft world will have a data tag which dertermines the biome.

So the new command should be like this:

    /setbiome <from:x,y,z> <to:x,y,z> [biome]

    Example: /setbiome 0 0 0 100 256 100 minecraft:plains > The area of 100x256x100 blocks will be filled with the plains biome.
