/setbiome ~ ~ ~ [biome]
I think this command would be really useful for mapmaking, and provides an alternative to using worldedit and things like that. This would be super useful if you wanted to create a biome somewhere, or simply change the colour of the grass in your area.

Would be great for mapping or experimenting with worlds
For sure! Great for mapmaking
You know a good biome could be a FLAT BOIME
This would be super helpful to have in world building
I totally need this for my world
It can be better if it uses [x1] [y1] [z1] [x2] [y2] [z2] (like /fill command) to change the biome of a selected area
Well the exact code of the command may need some work (as a biome exists per chunk and not block) just from the reaction of some map makers, this is a needed addition
The mechanics could go in at least 2 different directions:
/setbiome <center coordinates> <radius> <biome>
or
/setbiome <coords of one corner> <coords of the opposite corner> <biome>
or both could be merge into one like this:
/setbiome cylinder <center coordinates> <radius> <biome>
/setbiome cuboid <1st coordinates> <2nd coordinates> <biome>
Cylinder and cuboid mean that you shouldn't specify y coordinates, just x and z, because the biome extends to world height and down to void.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
while probably difficult to implement, it would be really useful (also the y-axis would be useless in syntax unless underground biomes are added, and it still may be useless)
/setbiome <x1> <z1> <x2> <z2> <biome>
Ex: /setbiome 19 19 56 78 minecraft:modified_gravelly_mountains
I have an idea:
/biome command
/biome locate [biome] locates a biome
/biome set [biome] sets the chunk you're in to a biome
/biome fill x1 z1 x2 z2 [biome] sets an area to a biome/biome radius [radius] [biome] sets a radius to a biome
These are not my ideas, they're in this category or in the comments, but this command could combine them all :) I might add some additional ideas someone suggests.
Good for mapmakers to control biome order and make maps more convincing. Also good for testing new mob spawn or other mechanics to do with a specific biome without having to move.
/setbyome ~~~ ~~~ [byome]
Can we add realms with one pay ments plz then I can afford one
YES
I think it should be /fillbiome X Y Z X2 Y2 Z2 {BiomeID;Swamp}
And another on being /setbiome 15 {BiomeID;Swamp}
I say this because setbiome would have a radius based on the number and the fill biome would make it more boxy.
It is still a good idea and whoever is scrolling down please vote
This one would crash a lot of phones, because it needs a lot of memory and process
With the Announcement of the nether update and (I heard this, but I'm not sure where this came from) it would suppoort 3D biomes, it's possible this command would come in that update as it would make sense to add it after they change how biomes are processed sense it would effect the command.
This would be extremely useful in superflat worlds
Ooooh yes I’d love this. Because I want to make a map with islands in the sky of varying different biomes, and it is currently impossible to do so as biomes are so big, and I want these islands right next to each other, close enough to build a bridge less than 20 blocks across from one to another. When you cross a border, it’s like you’re stepping into a new realm. Epic!
this idea is a big "why don't we have this already" this is a great idea and congratulations its under review :)
Only a specific chunk or 30 by 30 land piece, also you should be able to create a /set ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ village
I HAD THE EXACT SAME IDEA AS YOU!!! But you need 3 more ~'s.
