Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Double Jump Enchantment for Boots

An enchantment I think would add some fun to the game is an enchantment for boots that allows a player to jump again once while in the air. This could be helpful in gaining flight from ground level and even add to the Leaping effect.

    Double jump would be fantastic but I'm not sure how the mechanics of it could work with the elytra, since a second press of the jump button is already what activates flying. Maybe it could be an item that takes up the chest slot so it can't be used with the elytra? Maybe a winged chestplate that allows a single midair jump, similar to the Monarch Wings from Hollow Knight. In this case it should provide some armor protection in addition to the ability as a double jump isn't nearly as powerful as using the elytra. I could see it being useful over the elytra while caving as the extra protection would be nice.

    also, I think with the enchantment on it would know if it had both the enchanted boots and elytra and have the elytra be the third press of the space-bar. Or it could be a double-jump while the elytra is flying so while you're flying you can boost yourself without using rockets

    Could be an Elytra enchantmant, like a boost to fly from the ground. (The activation from elytra changes to the thirth press on the space button)

    This would be cool and it could be a new use for the frog maybe when killed a frog has a chance of dropping this book

    I would like double jump but you would have to find it (rare) or trade for villigers also it would be leggings because you jump with legs and not 8 enchantments for boots

    Sometimes I get stuck in a ravine, or a tow block hole, but I don’t want to have to break the block, cause that leaves dirt in the field of grass. In other words, I’m all for this idea

    i dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing, minecraft is a survival game (unless in other gamemodes) so adding something like that is pretty usless, what i mean is we have a potion of slow falling with feather falling as an enchantment too, for jumping across big gaps the enderpearl is usefull for that (bridging too) , if you wanna mlg you have the water bucket, and it makes it pretty much usless with these stuff, thank you for reading this

    What about a Mario style triple jump? Like, you jump, then jump as soon as you land, then do it again, and you get a jump boost.

    i think this type of thing should be a special enchantment that youd have to inbue something into an enchanted book like maybe you could get the book in a chest at the end of some dungeon and then have to inbue it with a rabbits foot. this has many applications

    Maybe four feathers in the shape of boots would make special "nimble boots" that give you a slight speed boost and allow a double jump (allowing the player to jump up to 3 blocks high)? I think this would be very cool, especially if they did not have durability. It would also be cool if there was an enchantment only obtainable in the end cities that essentially gave the boots an additional slow falling ability, only applicable to the nimble boots. Love this idea though!

    Imagine the minigames, parkour, and adventure map features you could make with this! This would be AWESOME! Would it work as a small boost if you use it underwater?

    Those who are against this idea claim that it does the same thing as a potion of leaping, but we all still put Feather Falling on our boots while we could use a potion of slow falling. Both of these are examples of one feature doing the job of another, but we still can enjoy both for they have their own unique qualities. My suggestion is that the double jump enchantment should have a maximum level of II which would give you the same height as a Jump boost II potion (The enchantment should also probably have a cooldown of 4-5 seconds). I think this would be good for the jungle temple loot table, as it would add more of a reason to explore the temple (Plus, the jungle just seems fitting for greater jump height).

    As someone who loves the 2d Castlevania games,double jump in Minecraft is perfect. However make the animation good,don’t be lazy and make it just two normal jumps. The second should make you go higher and do a flip or something.

    It should be an end-only treasure enchant, like how soul speed is nether-only. To all who say it’s like Potion of Leaping, it is similar, but it is an enchantment, so it lasts as long as the boots last, not just a few minutes.
