Double Jump Enchantment for Boots

An enchantment I think would add some fun to the game is an enchantment for boots that allows a player to jump again once while in the air. This could be helpful in gaining flight from ground level and even add to the Leaping effect.

    i really like this idea but it shouldn't be an enchant it should be harder to get and provide a challenge like making a turtle shell

    Or even rabbit boots that allows the player jumping twice, since rabbit feet are pretty rare

    it makes sense to have them both. 1 makes u jump twice the other makes each of those jumps higher.

    agree with some of the other people here. not that i couldn't work as an enchantment but i would work better as an item.

    Just use a potion of leaping.  There is no need for an enchantment that does the same thing.

    It would save you from any fall and would be op, don't really like the idea unless you can't double jump after you have gained certain amount of speed so people can't just double jump before hitting the ground after a long fall.

    I don't think it should be an enchantment possibly something you find in dungeons. I'd even go as far to say maybe using slime balls, Phantom membrane, and diamonds if it was to be crafted

    Yeah, this would be nice, and i do like the idea that someone commented here to use rabbits feet, it gives real purpose to those who dont care about luck enchantments or whatever (i barely play minecraft).

    Yes. Yes, absolutely.Oh my god so much yes. Heck, let me plead even further: Multiple LEVELS of this enchantment.

    I've heard people call it Airwalk? Maybe it could have a more mythical name like a reference to Hermes or Mercury, an ancient messenger god known for his speed, and winged feet. Mercurial Jump or Hermetic Jump.

    Each level of this enchantment would add one additional mid-air jump, up to Level 3

    Mercurial Jump 3 would mean 3 additional jumps before you touch the ground again.

    Each one, crucially, would either RESET FALL DISTANCE, or cut the accumulated fall distance in half each time.

    I would love everything about this. There used to be a mod called Move Plus that did this, and I adored it above practically all other mods. It has continuously been heartbreaking that there is NOTHING that adds this to the game now, not even in the modding scene. I wish I could vote for this a hundred times even if it would cost me the ability to vote for anything else ever again.

    If it's an enchantment it should be very rare maybe not compatible with feather falling and along with potions of leaping would allow you to jump very high maybe it could be a treasure enchantment and only be found in a specific generated structure

    I = Second jump is half a block
    II = Second jump is one block

    What if they were boots crafted from rabbits foot similar to the turtle shell and were like ( or slightly better than) leather boots.

    I hope this one comes into Minecraft. The second jump doesnt have to be so overpowered but it would make much more fun with double jump.

    Maybe there's just a jump enchantment and you can have up to 2 levels, giving a double and triple jump! Perhaps only a treasure enchantment too, akin to mending, or at least as rare as frost walker.

    Maybe instead of the double jump enchantment there could be rabbit boots crafted with diamond boots and rabbit's feet. It basically is the enchantment. I still really like the idea and I would be fine with either one. :)

    As long as it can also do a triple jump, I'm game. I'd really really would love for this as to combine with jump boost, it would be new quick way to traverse around.

    If this were to be implemented, I think it should be a non-armour item like the elytra. It gives little armour, and possibly could be a rare item found in desert temples.

    Since the Rabbit Foot is already used in the Leaping and Slowness potions, perhaps Double Jump can be the corrupted version of the Slow Falling potion. It would be nice to have more uses for the Phantom Membrane. Whether it's a potion or a boot enchantment, it should only allow you to jump a second time within a second or two of jumping. That way you can't use it to cheese fall damage by performing the second jump near the ground from a high fall.

    Another option might be to craft leather boots from rabbit hide and phantom membrane, sort of mimicking the water breathing effect of the turtle helmet. This version might be used only to cross large pits instead of scaling higher blocks.

    This should be a potion crafted from Rabbit Foot and something else to enhance it. Making it a consumable is more balanced imo.
