Yeah it's boring when player model is just a combination of 6 cubes put together, it would be cool if players can create a customizable model to fit their skin. This one is made by me on Minecraft Bedrock Edition version 1.2.0
I know, this feature is added for Minecraft Bedrock Edition but it was removed because of player model could be considered as cheating on servers. But because of this feature being removed, content creators like skin creators or resource pack creators is limited from their creativity.
If this feature was brought back to minecraft,
i have some rules & feature suggestions to prevent player from cheating :
- Every bones(Head, Arms, Body, etc) requires at least 1 cube
- There is no overused transparency to prevent cheating, every cubes has it's limitation of the transparency, maybe half of them or a quarter? i don't know, let me know which limitation is better
- Servers have a report option for player models, for example "/report [Player Name] innapropriate skin model"
- Player model file need to be less than 1mb to prevent lag for servers
- for Minecraft Java Edition players, they need to upload their .json of custom player model to https://minecraft.net/en-us/profile/skin website to change their models, for Minecraft Bedrock edition players, just simply change their model from skin settings
- [Optional] Feature to add more bones that can be parented to another bone(example : {"Parent":"Head"} on the .json file code) and specified for the animations (example : {"Anim":"armsAnim"} or something like that on the .json file code) , this might be useful for adding tons of customizations to player models
- Player Model size has it's limitation but still has the default collosion box , it's like maximum size is about 2x3 block and it's minimum size is 1x1.5 block, yeah the 2x3 size of player model might be funny to look at when entering a door
Any other suggestion for custom player model? comment down in the comment sections below.
Custom Player 3D Model might be an advanced customization and it requires some coding skills, but if there are anyone that creates a software to create custom model without coding skills for players, that would be really appreciated!
Thanks for reading my suggestion :)
