(Dimension) Sky lands

The Sky lands would be like the nether but instead in the sky , it would be similar to the concept that was going to be released when Minecraft was in its early stages called "Sky Dimension" But a bit different. You would get to it by mining a new ore and creating blocks out of that ore , using those blocks you would build a portal similar to the nether portal and light it with a special flint and steel made out of those ores ( You would need to find those ores ) When you go in you get teleported to a heaven like place with crazy mobs  blocks , new items  and maybe even its own boss ( Cause so far pretty much every dimension has its own boss Over world has Elder guardian , Nether has wither and the end has the end dragon ) You could also make special items to decorate your house. A difference it could have to the nether/end could be you can place beds and sleep in them so you could make your own base , also if you fall off the island instead of dying you would get teleported to the over world and start falling from around the same height clouds are.

    With mods, you could do that but that was a previous concept that was rejected by mojang. Mainly known nowadays, the Aether. Lots of nicknames too.

    i think Sky Lands would be very awesome but i have a few ideas for it:

    1:cloud blocks

    2:clouded trees 3:a new boss/mob

    I think the Sky Lands would be amazing but i was thinking of an idea of a Cloudy ore that you could find in caves

    Don't make it a dimension. Instead add it to the overworld in the sky. Like sky islands. Less abusive and can be 100 blocks past the build limit so you can't see it unless you fly to it with an elytra or with a ground portal.

    I’m not so sure about that idea . I mean it’s kinda rip off. I don’t understand why everyone wants to make a mod pointless. And also rip off it. But its still pretty cool. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a rip off XD

    I would like to say somethings
    1 the creator of the ather mod works at Mojang now
    2 don't make the skylands to much like heaven or you'll alienate the religious players which is why Notch wisely chose "Nether" instead of the contraction for "He will" ( not writing actual word here)
    3 we should get multiple biomes for this dimension not just 1 then wait 15+ years before we get more
    4 revive Notch's red dragon idea!

    Good idea!!!!!!!!!!! I think that there should be some rare ores that can only be obtained in the sky dimension, for example you could make a pickax that could mine bedrock. I also think that you should make the portal by having a four by four emerald blocks at the building limit, and light it with just normal flint and steel.

    Maybe make it a portal out of Glowstone and water instead of flint and steel. It would be so gratifying to just get "The Aether Update"

    the sky dimension could be like the oposite of the end. instead of darkness, there would be lots of white and passive mobs. maybe even villagers? there could be a big main city (like the main island of the end) that would be mostly made of white and gold, and there could be like some guardians of the city. don't know what the boss could be.

    I think this should be a reward for beating the game

    instead of free-flying all the time, players should just use an elytra instead

    I think it would be nice to make the new mineral in the end, to make the end less monotonous
