I feel like this doesn't really fit in with the rest of Minecraft. At the moment, the other dimensions are there to make it harder to complete the game and fight the bosses. Any new dimension wouldn't really fit in as it would feel more like an endgame dimension, but that's what the end is supposed to be. Plus, there would be a lot to add into a new dimension and it would likely take multiple updates, so I doubt it would even be worth it anyway.

Minecraft updates should build on the Minecraft we already have, like adding biomes, blocks, or mobs. A whole new dimension just wouldn't fit in as it wouldn't really feel like the game we know today, and add too much that we are un familiar with, causing many to stop playing for one reason or another. It's just too risky and time consuming to be considered as a possibility.

yea this is the aether mod but i would actually want it in the game mabye add some more stuff into it like new mobs (we can have the toast nametag secret in there RIP Toast) and no hostile mobs as in zombies and skeletons and add villages in the biome with the villagers being the angel type  mabye add an angelic type of wood for the villages and add a new ore that generates in this dimension that everyone has wanted for so long. the ruby. and we can make armor and tools with it it will be in between diamond and netherite for durability and strength. and add a new helmet for the dimension called the halo. loads of ideas for the idea. you are very welcome

edit we need a god angel to protect the villages bc there were bosses in the mod  it will be made with the ruby and a new head called the angel head you need an angel to give a head but dont worry it will regrow overtime (its an angel duh) so you put the head on the rubies and you make the golem if you hit it it wont attack bc its heaven / aether.

I think it would be great so I don’t have to build my own islands for bedwars practice.

If you think it is a ripoff of the aether mod and Minecraft shouldn't have it, smooth lighting and the ender storage mods got implemented in some way.

Considering the creator of the Aether mod works for Minecraft now, I could see this being a legit addon to the game

Notch previously mentioned adding a dimension like from the Aether Mod before the release of 1.0 and now with kingbdogz on the development team, This could be what we're seeing added here.

    ...and it would be epic!

I've always wanted an overworld extension so-called the "Sky Lands", and with the current Minecraft features, it can be fitted into the game and made lore-friendly.

The way I'd do this is by changing the progression of they storyline like this:
Overworld -> (Deep dark?) -> Nether -> Sky Lands -> End

First off, to create the portal frame, I would recommend utilizing a recipe for respawn anchors, but instead of 3 glowstone, use 3 netherite scrap. This would create (unpowered) portal frames that can be lit by glowstone dust, (or possibly something from the deep dark?).

Then instead of generating portal dungeons in the Overworld, generate them in the Sky Lands in "Ancient Constructs" that have been left by "Ancient Worldbuilders". These "Ancient Constructs" could utilize new decorative blocks like "copper pipe" that makes it seem like a world-building machine. The "machine" gives it the feeling that the Overworld could have been a terraformed world.

Lore-wise, the world builders would be the narrators in the end-credits. Throughout the credits, the world builders explain the dream the player built, imagined & created by two people; Julian and Markus.

I think the idea is fine, it just needs a bit more major and minor changes.

How about instead of the deaths creen, the player gets teleported to the sky lands?

Perhaps when you first get to the sky lands dimension in each world, the sky is red (just like the nether) and you have to defeat a nether-related boss (perhaps red dragon) to “free” the sky lands/Aether. When you defeat the boss the sky should turn blue and it should mostly be a peaceful place.

I think there could be a stormy biome in the skylands too. Mojang could also add local weather in certain biomes akin to there not being rain in the desert. I think sculpture-like stone trees would be cool too.

Well I mean the guy who made The Aether mod does work for Mojang now and I'm pretty sure he helped with the Nether Update so I think adding The Aether would be a good idea and I am aware they don't want to add mods to the game but taking inspiration from a mod with the help of it's developer is different.

More like The End to be exact since you're in the sky.

they do not need a sky dimension since that is what the end already is.

You know about this material called "Zanite" in the Aether mod? That material can be used for tools and armor. Maybe this Sky Lands dimension would have Zanite.

Great idea, having the developer of aether working on mojang, will be easy peasy.

I love this as it sorta like the aether mod. Maybe special cloud blocks that could be used in builds. I’m open to pretty much any new demensions as it adds a lot to the game.

Doesn’t make sense for it to be another dimension, rather just in the overworld’s sky
