Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Concrete and Terracotta having Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

I really don’t like how you can’t craft concrete slabs and stairs. That basically means that we don’t have ANY colorful slabs and stairs. I really wish Mojang will add this because that would allow people to be more creative with what they build.

Edit: As you guys have mentioned in the comments, terracotta could use it as well.

Edit 2: They could also use walls, that could expand build options even more, and when it comes to build options, the more the merrier.

    I 100% agree! I am building my dream house in Minecraft, and it's a modern house so there are gonna be lots of whites, and grays. I would LOVE to have concrete stairs, slabs, walls, and other stuff, I don't feel like using stone as it doesn't look clean like concrete. I was just about to post something similar after getting frustrated that I can't find a nice gray slab. the other colors would also be very fun as they would unlock a bunch of building options, this NEEDS to be made aware of by the devs and needs to be implemented ASAP!

    Of course! Because if you have a favorite concrete block you could be lucky with the strength of color.

    I'd really like to know why Mojang doesn't write a script in the game code to automatically generate stairs/slabs/walls for all registered blocks! There are several mods that do something like that. Well ok, maybe not EVERY single block, but why do you have to add in each type of block's partial variants individually?

    Although I have experience in coding, I know very little about Java! So please forgive my ignorance if there is a solid reason this hasn't been done!

    makes me sad that this has yet to be a feature and the fact it has been 2 years and it is still "Under Review" is honestly getting my hopes up. Hopefully they add this I have builds that need to be finished :/

    i personally dont mind a lack of concrete or glazed terracotta stuff, but i’ve been wanting terracota shape variants for ages- since even dirt is getting a bunch of variations soon, it only makes sense that something even closer to stone should as well! the colors would be great for various builds, especially for the End if someone wanted to upgrade an end city like how i want to do.

    A fundamental belief I have about adding new blocks to Minecraft is that restrictions inspire creativity. I am very glad that Minecraft upholds this principle, which is why things like dyed wood, vertical slabs, and micro blocks won't be added to the game. However, I've recently noticed that even though Minecraft does good with the restrictive part, the creativity part needs a lot more fleshing out. In my opinion, it would be good if terracotta got slab, stair, and wall variants. However, I wouldn't do the same with concrete. This is because terracotta has a different tint than most other colored blocks, restricting the slab, stair, and wall palette while still allowing for creative potential. Instead of adding interesting blocks like these, Minecraft currently seems to just be adding extremely similar blocks, but with ever so slightly different colors and textures. I really wish that the "restrictions = creativity" philosophy was iterated in a more interesting way.

    I believe this should be added because it allows people to be creative and do so much like me .I have been wanting stuff like that since 1.17 around there because its soo cool i saw a modpack about it but its only on java so thats unfair.

    This idea is great. I recently made a futuristic themed base using lots of white and light blue concrete, and I ended up having to use quartz and prismarine stairs and slabs, and it just didn’t look good. I would love to see this implemented in the game.

    How many reactions and votes are needed before Mojang will listen to us and go add these blocks we'd like to see be added. To give us the possibility making (even) more beautifull creations.

    Does Mojang listen to and care about their builders?
