Unbelievable that this simple set up still can't be done. If I log into any other company account I can see all of my data, regardless of where I've edited from or on, updated. I have a tablet, android phone and switch with minecraft on but can't access different worlds swt up on the other devices. Ridiculous system.

I have found a way to make local backups.

    1. Upload your world to realms. In my experience you can ignore if it says that it has failed to upload (as long as it appears under backups)

    2. Change your storage from internal to external in the minecraft settings.

    3. Download your world in the backups section of realms.

    4. You now have your world in external storage.

    1. My 6 year old, played minecraft for the last 6 months. He spent a lot of $$ on mods.

    2. He created ~1100 worlds there.

    3. Two weeks ago he dropped his Samsung tablet and broke the screen. His main worry there was if he is going to loose all his minecraft worlds.

    4. I want to send the tablet to service center for screen replacement. Before I do, I have to backup all his data. The service center has a policy to erase all data before any repair.

5.Storage location in Minecraft - application, and I already know what it means.

    6. So far, I've copied ~200 worlds via Realms to my mobile (to external storage). I've already spent hours renaming all of the worlds so that I do not loose any of them in the process. They way this method works - the whole process will take 7 hours. Ah yeah - the screen is shattered, no bleeding yet.

    7. I do not have root access. Rooting the device will erase all data.

    Dear Minecraft support:

    a) How can I solve this issue?

    b) How a regular user will backup or change his phone without loosing all his worlds stored in the default app storage on an android device?

    c) Why, when I change Storage Location from application to external (and there are no worlds saved in external), why there is no 'Import from application storage' button?

    d) Is the implementation of copying files from one location to another - a too challenging task for the Minecraft dev team?
