I think any event that mimics the weather in the Overworld, whether it's lava "rain" or ash "snow" makes the Nether seem less alien and otherworldly, so they shouldn't be included. It just turns it into a fiery copy of the Overworld. But more unique ideas like the ground intermittently rumbling or random points in the lava starting to bubble then spit lava in the air are really good.

Great idea, maybe it could drip lava from the ceiling that lights you on fire when you stand in it, and lava would spout from the ground randomly as the Nether version of rain and thunderstorms. Could be toggled with /gamerule doNetherEvent and changed with /weather [weather state] nether

Maybe a heatwave would be a cool idea, your vision becomes blurry and you get a thirst effect it would give more use to water bottles

    Some ideas for Nether Weather:

Piglin Soup Fog: Super dense fog that reduces players vision to 5 or so blocks, makes traversing dangerous without adding new dangers.

SoulFire Storm: fire sparking along the ceilings or midair if you are above a certain Y (70 or 80+) you run the risk of a random fire starting. at that distance though it's mostly a light show

    Basalt delta ash storm?

I think a natural event would consist of lava geysers spouting bits of lava particles out very infrequently. They could be in the lava ocean or on land, but maybe as an uncommon spawn -- except in the Basalt Delta biome they could appear more, since it's basically considered a "volcano" biome, and perhaps less of a chance appearing in the fungus biomes. However, they could most likely appear in the lava ocean than any land biomes.

These geysers could either not effect the player (just like lava-dripping particles when mining/caving or overworld weather of rain/snow falls) or have a chance to cause about a half-heart of damage -- nothing too dangerous, but they'd certainly add to the atmosphere/lively ambiance.

Not likely could there be nether weather, though, unless a form of some dusty storm were to be considered.

Bring back the Hovering Inferno. I just want to defeat it so that I can wear it's crown helmet after it is dropped from being defeated.

I think occasionally having strong echoing winds in the Nether will be very cool. Occasionally, when building or traveling in the Nether, you would see the Nether fog suddenly getting denser, and then the Nether particles start getting blown towards a certain direction, followed by constant howling sounds reverberating in the mega cave system that is the Nether, and then you realize that you are getting slowly blown to the side as well. You can press shift/sneak in order to prevent getting blown away or off of ledges. All piglins and baby hoglins caught in Nether wind will panick and try to find shelter from the wind. That being said, the local strength of Nether winds will be affected by the placement of blocks and will not be strong in places that lack space and will not happen in small, enclosed spaces.

Heh, I have a data pack that adds weather to the Nether. Wish Mojang did something like that for vanilla.

Neat idea, maybe there could be a cracked magma block variation that can form from a normal magma block under certain circumstances, then spew lava in a certain direction 8 blocks.

Like if it meets these criteria:

1.) the magma block has at least 1 air block touching it

2.) the magma block has a lava source or lava flow directly touching it opposite of the air block.

Then it can become cracked at random, and start spewing lava once it has reached stage 3 of cracking, spewing up to 8 blocks in any direction. If spewing horizontally it will bend the stream downward with gravity. Also any cracked magma block could become a regular magma block at any time at random and stop flowing lava, unless the cracked magma block has a lava source directly touching it, giving the player a potential way of using this for decoration or other uses. There could be a way to speed up magma block cracking if an anvil drops on it. I also wish that mining any magma block (cracked or not) would turn into a lava source, and if mining with silk touch, drops a regular magma block. Blowing up magma blocks with explosions could drop regular magma blocks to not mess that part up.
