This is honestly the only thing keeping me from playing Bedrock Edition,if they can just add Legacy Edition Flying and UI i will happily switch over...but they have yet to even add an option

This would be great, I don’t much care for the bedrock crafting as I have grown accustomed to the legacy console version for years

The bedrock UI takes way longer to craft and sort than the old ui. PLEASE just add an old ui option in the settings. The only reason I’m getting bedrock is for the cross play

It would make split-screen less of an annoyance as the icons are a lot bigger and easier to see.

I think the same could theoretically be done for Java UI too

There is also a thread about the movement on bedrock, and it explains quite well why it feels weird. However, it only has eight votes, which is under how many people would like this to be fixed by a lot. This is 100% still relevant in 2019. With the Bedrock engine coming to PS4 soon, all of the legacy console editions will be discontinued. It would make for a much better user experience, and a much easier transition for console players, if the UI from console edition were brought to bedrock. This UI is much more controller-friendly than the current system, especially for crafting. Audio is also a big part of the console UI, with many interactions having subtle "click" or "thud" sounds to let the user know they've done something.

I really want to have fun with the new content, but I just can’t stop playing the legacy XOne edition because of the UI, especially crafting. Are there plans for legacy UI to come back on consoles at any point?

Legacy ui feels like home.... this one feels like an unfamiliar inconvenient disaster. Bring back legacy

This is honestly all I want for bedrock i hate when i open my inventory in creative and have to open new folders of items I liked legacy console and classic PE inventory more

Recently been forced to move across to Bedrock from PS4 and the crafting is so atrocious on a controller I've stopped playing.

It's cumbersome to use and there's no way of checking what ingredients are needed. Same issue with trading. I traded 10 emeralds for what I thought was paper only to find out they were maps.

I cannot play the bedrock edition without this implemented. I love the bedrock edition new features and new content but I cannot navigate the crafting menu or the inventory the way it is currently implemented (the UI is obviously for PC).  I play the legacy Xbox one edition and everyone I know does as well specifically for this reason. You can leave the regular PC UI as long as you give us an option to toggle to the xbox one dedicated UI (and don't ever take that option away!)

I'd love this because I don't have the "editions" button like others do. Not sure why that is but it makes it impossible to transfer worlds from my PS3. You could say I skipped legacy because my old PS4 and games were stolen.. I just replaced them again but now Bedrock is in place. There's no way for me to use an old disc as it wants me to update the game in order to use network features (meaning the download option). If I update it means having Bedrock, so I'm stuck in a loop.

I also agree with the fact that the "feel" of the game should remain the same... I also don't see an option for making the worlds really high or deep (forgot what it said exactly)

Yes we need console UI.  I refuse to place minecraft bedrock because of this.  I'm still playing on my xbox 360 instead.  I though maybe I would use the pocket UI because I like that on my phone but turns out you've removed that and force us to use the new gross UI.  I remember seeing a request thread about this exact same thing existing when bedrock came out and it had over 3000 votes.  That says to me you guys don't care and will never add classic console style menus, and I will never play bedrock.

Bedrock crafting is wonky and hard to use at a lot of times whereas legacy version crafting was easy to use and navigate and if anything should be a togglable option.

My friends and I are still playing legacy Xbox one edition partly because of this. It’s just so clunky. I’d rather pass on the updates just for quality of life such as the legacy ui in all honesty. It can’t be that hard to implement

I suggest contracting the work of 4J for this, they are the ones who made that UI after all. Also, yeah the Bedrock edition UI just sucks in general. Sorry :/

The crafting menu is the main reason why i will never play on the Bedrock edition.  Why should we (console players) have to adapt to that UI that is made for another platform?  What is the next step? A version for the people who could play Minecraft on their magnificent smart watches and an eventually crappier UI that would suit their needs?  A video game should be made firstly for the people playing on a GAMING CONSOLE.  If some people want to play it on a 3x6 inch screen, it's their problem.  A CELL PHONE is not a GAMING CONSOLE.

This would be the best addition, and if they didn't change anything about the legacy UI as well. There was a UI texture pack but it eventually got outdated and the developer stopped supporting it. I used to use that one alot, so it was a shame it got outdated. I feel like if it was added it would attract a lot more legacy console players like myself.
