Amazing feature. Why not add more things like that? Also, please make it 3D. Also, maybe could there be a wind trail or something while your falling?

My idea is that the mace should have a limited damage when it falls, for example, the maximum damage a mace can do is 40 units. Because this is a very strong weapon that can kill strong creatures without any stress

I think it's ok to name it in polish 'młot" or 'maczuga" because nobody uses the word which is 'buzdygan"

mace is a cool weapon, and it seems to me that it lacks enchantment, which would allow the mace not only to repel nearby targets during an attack, but also to inflict a small amount of damage

I have to search lots of chambers to find just one heavy core. The core's drop rate needs to be increased a bit! Don't make features that many players will never ever find, like sniffers. Maces are an exciting addition that needs to be in the hands of more players.

Maces also gets more expensive to repair by anvil, to the point it becomes unrepairable eventually. Limited weapons are a huge no-no in minecraft, as I'd just end up not using it ever. Let it have mending.

It's a good time to fix anvil repairing being so obnoxious & unfriendly to new players. Remove the incremental xp cost and "too expensive" feature, and just let players repair their weapons without needing mending. This will also make the weak books like prot1 worth collecting, players can combine the books until prot4 without it being "too expensive". This way, players are not forced to abuse villagers and get OP prot4 immediately, and it'll give more depth to minecraft's progression. I'd argue that the powerful books like prot4 should only be obtainable/craftable on nether/end trial chambers, as it's too easy to start a game and get instantly OP by fishing & trading on villages. Heck, maybe there's another heavy core on nether trial chambers to combine with blaze rods! If we're adding unique enchants on these maces, add elemental attacks where you can use the breeze rod handle to fire wind charges. Mace gameplay will be easier for non-PC players if we can use the winds without switching/crowding the hotbar!

This is great idea ,but i think this new weapon need better texture and animation

I absolutely loved it. The texture definitely doesn't fit the weapon (mostly it being a 1 pixel-width 2D based texture, since a 3D one like the Trident would suit much more), but I'm pretty sure that Mojang will change it by the next snapshot, so it's not a big problem, atleast for now. All the mechanics are super cool, but Mojang should add animations on when the player hits a mob/another player when landing (huge amount of block crumbs in the range of 2-3 blocks around the place of impact would be enough). The best space for new ideas and imagination is definitely the enchantments area, since good and creative enchantments for the weapon would add much more originality and meaning to it. I won't go through any possibilities for cool enchantments, since I trust Mojang in making this sphere beneficial for the Mace. Maybe they will be able to give Amethyst and other items with high potential more functionality using this weapon, atleast decorative...
Overall there are plenty of possibilities, and I wish you luck in making the Mace a worthy addition to the game, Mojang!

The mace is cool! But I would like its ultimate strength to be consumed depending on the height from which the player falls. If the player falls from a very high height, the mace can completely break. Also, please add the shock wave coming from the epicenter of the impact.

Mace is really cool addition to Minecraft. But it has own faults. I'd like to see that problems fixed. Firstly, mace needs to be rebalanced. It needs to cover ~90% of fall damage, but not 100%. Also mace shouldn't defeat warden instantly when you just hit him from 150 blocks . Maybe a damage limit will help.
Secondly, mace need to have 2D texture in inventory and 3D in hand, similar to a trident. Additionally, I feel like the shockwave effect of mace is not detailed as it can be.
Also it would be great if mace will have its own enchantments. I have some ideas:

"Stunning": If you hit an entity with the mace, it could apply a slowness effect to it.

"Shock Wave": Increasing the range of the shockwave effect.

I really liked the idea of adding a mace and its mechanics of use
While looking at the snapshot, I got a few ideas:
    1. unique enchantment for the mace “acceleration”. With this enchantment you will fall faster and deal more damage. This may seem too strong, but with increased fall acceleration, you will have less time to aim and hit, making this enchantment skill dependent.
    2. add ax mechanics to the mace, that is, the ability to knock down shields (put them on cooldown) or make the mace deal much more massive damage to shields. This will make the mace more suitable for surprise combat, and will also allow it to be used against shields. You can also add an enchantment for this, which slows down the enemy after his shield is knocked down. the name of this enchantment could be "stun" or "armor-piercing". It's make Mace more effective than axes
    3. Add a 3D model to the mace. due to the fact that it is flat, it is impossible to accurately define and understand its entire volume and mass.
    4. So that a “wind charge” could be inserted into these holes in the head of the mace. because of which, during a critical hit, the enemy reclined very strongly

The texture of the mace is not very good. It seems to me that the mace should be 3D, so it will be different from other weapons. There are also not enough effects on impact.

It would be cool if when lightning hits a player with a mace, the mace would charge and then there would be 3 charges that would cause bonus damage or stun mobs/players.
Charge 1: Lightning strike spreads out to 12 blocks around the player 100% lightning strike.
Charge 2: Lightning strike spreads out to 7 blocks around the player -40% lightning strike damage.
Charge 3: Lightning strike spreads over 4 blocks -70% lightning strike damage.
If the player/mob is wearing leather armor, then lightning damage is not dealt.
Sorry for the mistakes, I wrote through Google translator.

It definitely has to be in 3D, right now its texture looks really lame.

Also add particles for knockback, like a shockwave.

Maybe some special attack? For example, a spinning one? Like Thor does with Mjolnir.

I sadly haven't played around with this smashing new tool, as the PC I use to play Minecraft seems to be incompatible with the enchantment Internet I, but I can still interject my opinions.
-The mace should be renamed to the hammer, or something along those lines. A mace has flanged edges, allowing the mace to cleave through armor easily! However, the Heavy Core doesn't have knobs or spikes. This means that it's more of a hammer. Ideal name changes could fall among the lines of Heavy Hammer or the Mallet.
-As for enchantments, the Mace should have the basic ones, like mending and unbreaking, however, I thought of a few more.
Channeling would summon lightning on whatever you hit, so long as you fell from a height of more than 3 blocks.

Ascension (I-III) would grant you bonus height for a landed strike. 2 blocks of additional height for Ascension I, 6 for III. Treasure enchantment.

Knockback scales how far a mob is repulsed.

Sweeping edge changes the mace's behavior to a lateral attack that repulses mobs in front of you. It makes it a heavy sword with the Java sword slash. The mace's slash would be slower and harder hitting, not requiring height to function optimally. Additionally, Sweeping edge mace would do big damage to armor, specifically the chestplate. This would be pretty big for PvP and PvE would benefit greatly as well.

Welp. That's all the characters I have today. Thanks for reading my news article of an idea and I hope you have a great day!

First of all, I think the Mace is a great concept, especially when combined with Wind Charges. However, like other people have stated, it can take out the stronger mobs in Minecraft in only one hit. I think there should be a cap to how high you can go and still get more damage on your hit. The texture in your hand should also be 3D to go along with the trident. Keep the texture the same for the item though.

Hello developers, the new weapons are good in my opinion, but you can’t put enchantments on them. I hope that they will add the ability to set enchantments for indestructibility and repair, and exclusive enchantments for the mace

You could also craft a flail which could give more powerful shots according to how long the wind up is.

I think the mace should be 3D ie like a trident or a spyglass.
In addition, the mace should be stronger. Instead of 250 for 350 hits. But for balance in the craft, then there should be 2 sticks of Breeze, and also when repairing in the anvil, you need to spend more of the same sticks.
You can also add new particles when you land after an attack.
And as an idea, you can add one more feature of the weapon. For example, a normal jump attack will always deal critical damage. Or add a special attack (such as a sword, slashing blade) such as a "pierce" that will pierce the armor of players and mobs, dealing damage to them.
I would also like unique mace charms.

You can also add unique mace animations.

You can add the ability to charge the mace like... In the crafting menu, add wind charges to the mace and their number will increase the shock wave from the mace

I think that the mace should have a 3D texture, so that it reflects the mace we know from Minecraft Dungeons. Plus, the recipe needs to be changed by adding three iron nuggets around the core, to reflect the fact that maces in real life have spikes on them.

In addition, the mace should also have a damage mechanic similar to Minecraft Dungeons' Shared Pain enchantment found only on the Starless Night. If the damage dealt to the mob (with or without the accumulated fall ability) over kills it or is more than the max health of the mob you hit, then that leftover damage will be divided by the number of mobs present in a 1-2 block radius, and then dealt to them. The formula for this mechanic is as follows:
(Damage dealt by mace - max health of the mob that was hit)
Splash damage to other mobs = —————————————————————————————
    # of mobs present
This is a post from AmbientSteve405, and I give Mojang permission to do this.

I think this Mace is good idea for new version, but i think you can make better by: make 3D (it’s more better looks like, like the trident really will be good), make particles or animations for the Mace (because when you’re jumping to bit somebody, that’s looks like bad, would be better to add any kind of particles or animations).

Mojang, what about making 3D model for mace? It could have heavy core's 3D model instead of 2D gray cube.
