    The Mace would look better with its 3D design like the Trident, with the other weapons it can work like the sword since it is supposed to have a edge but the Mace something that should be square is weird

    mayor new weapon coming, we could have some ways to change it like the Tinkers Construct mod, it would also open doors and possibilities for new weapons and even powers or utilities, it's just an idea but the community was going crazy

    I like the idea, but it can be improved. I think it would be good if he did damage in the area and not just a little push. The damage of area could increase depending on the level (I, II, III) of a new enchantment, something like "Heavy Impact"

    Add echo shards into the recipe of the mace. when hitting something with it (including an armor stand), it creates a shockwave. the stronger the hit, the bigger the shockwave, damage and knockback. the shockwave will also be detected by sculk sensors, bigger shockwaves will have a larger than usual detection radius, meaning you can trigger a sculk sensor from a much further distance.

    I really like the concept of the mace, I feel that some exclusive enchantments could be interesting (exclusives of the vaults).

    The mace does more damage depending on the height, which means that the more speed you accumulate (in the fall) the more damage it does, rigth?

    So how about an enchantment called "acceleration" or something like that, that increases the damage of the mace that unlike the vertical speed (falling from a great height in this case), depends on the horizontal speed of the player, this would give more use to the speed potions, the horses, or the minecarts.

    It would also be great to have an enchantment for area damage, like sweppin edge.

    ah and I agree with many, it would be great if it was 3D like the trident.

    I like this weapon. And the method of striking. You have to fall to take a lot of damage. Plus you can use Wind Charges to gain height and switch to mace. This is great

    • Having read the patch notes beforehand, the mace feels easy to use. 
    • The knockback is a great mechanic, but I feel it lacks visual feedback to make it really feel "heavy". I think a shockwave of particles when you land from a great height would be satisfying here. Also some kind of visual indicator for how much damage you’re building up whilst falling.
    • Similarly, I agree with others that a 3d model would look better and make it feel more like a mace and more in line with the trident, another "unique" weapon. 
    • The mace currently feels a little too reliant on wind charges, so I think a secondary ability would be good? Maybe it could be enchanted with elemental power? Or maybe a different way of building up damage (although not as much as falling) such as holding left click?

    I absolutely love this new weapon! I like how it is has its own unique mechanics, but I don't think its powerful enough to be used over an axe or sword. I have a few suggestions that I think would make it more powerful. 

    - Give the Mace a splash damage attack similar to the sweeping attack of the sword, but it is triggered when striking an enemy from a 5 block fall or higher. The attack will damage enemies within a small radius. Add an enchantment to expand this radius and the damage dealt with the splash damage.

    - I watched a bit of PhoenixSC's stream. In the stream, he was able to 1 shot the wither from 100 or 200 blocks up (I forget which) and negate all fall damage. I think this is a good concept, but it needs to be changed. I would change it to reduce X percent of fall damage instead of 100%. I also think the maximum amount of damage should be capped, however that's much less of an issue in my opinion.

    - I have not tested this yet so I do not know if this is already a feature, but I think the mace should have the ability to disable shields like the axe, but it should also have an enchantment that allows it to disable shields for longer OR deal X percent of damage through shields.

    Overall, I think this is going to be one of the most unique weapons in the game, and I think these changes will help keep it from becoming obsolete in the late game, and in PvP.     They should add a new mob that uses the mace, it could be a copper robot or something like that, plus all the weapons in the game are used by other mobs, like the Trident is used by the aquatic zombie or the crossbow is used by the pillager, it wouldn't be bad if they added a mob that uses the mace

    Edit: With copper robot I did not mean the copper golem, but rather a unique robot with a special design that can be generated in the new structure

    I think it could deal a slight proportion of the damage to nearby entities or only deal 1 damage to make it more impactful.

    Another idea for the heavy core: the core could also be a wind conduit that will allow the player to fly like in creative within a certain distance, this will make construction easier and will certainly please the community a lot

    The mace should have another more interesting function: it could be enchanted with the loyalty enchantment, just like the trident thrown against hostile mobs would give super strong damage and return to the player's hand like the famous Mjolnir.

    The Mace is such an interesting weapon, but like with every other weapon added to the game (axes*, tridents, crossbows) the novelty wears off and people just resort back to the sword. So there are 3 improvements I can think of that will further solidify the Mace as a viable weapon.
    1. 3D model— As mentioned by other people, it needs a 3D model, like the trident
    2. Enchantments— Currently can’t be enchanted in an enchanting table, and furthermore needs specific unique enchantments
    3. Wind Charge Capabilities— This weapon has obviously been designed to garner height advantages, so how about right-clicking the mace to allow you to shoot a wind charge projectile (consuming them from your inventory like a bow consumes arrow)

    *axes referring to when they were officially classified as a weapon

    The Mace's base stats seem too similar to the Diamond Sword. I think it should be at least a bit slower.

    This is amazing! The mace is near-perfect already, you can potentially one-shot mobs, giving it a niche on pvp/pve depending on terrain. As the one-shot requires a lot of setup, it's not OP & swords are still preferable most of the time.

    There's flaws however; it needs to be renewable and enchantable with unbreaking/mending. This item will create scarcity issues in servers, where if you lose it, it's gone forever, especially when worlds are limited due to file sizes. Add the heavy core on the spawner loot table, with low % chance. Alternatively, make vaults repeatable for each player, encouraging more gameplay in limited worlds, as the keys are useless!

    Mace is good on Java as you can dual-wield with wind charges, but that's impossible on Bedrock. On mobile especially, it's impossible to quick-swap from wind charge/mace on your hotbar. We really need a button to instantly activate items in our hotbar. For example, if you have a wind charge on slot 1 while equipping your mace on slot 2, after pressing this button, it'll immediately activate the slot 1 item and go back to your mace. Switching hotbar items on mobile like torches is sluggish without this! And add buttons that let us craft-all or take all furnace items, on mobile you have to click 64+ times to craft stacks, which is painful.

    Wind charges still need to be easily farmable without waiting. Minecraft has a problem where some consumables (like lingering pots & tipped arrows) are so hard to get that it becomes unused.

    Maces Sometimes have spikes the majority of maces don't so I can see why this mace doesn't . Anyway I love the texture and the strength of the mace but I had this idea

    Add shards to maces this would be done by taking the mace to the smithing table to combine it with one of Minecraft's many shards (amethyst , echo , & prismarine) to make a spiked mace , A Amethyst Spiked Mace wouldn't have to have any special effects it could be purely visual

    There should be a boss you need to fight in the Trial Chambers in order to get the heavy core given how strong the mace is.
