I saw another post like this that went into way better detail and depth with this issue. (link: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360041247791-Stop-disabling-achievements-when-using-mods)
I like adding simple quality of life mods to my worlds to make playing more enjoyable. One specifically I love using is the dynamic lighting mod. All it does is make light work more dynamically and more realistically, and at the same time it completely removes the ability to earn achievements. I know that keeping it fair and all that, but maybe if someone would rather just zip though all the achievements in one go, then it isn’t a game for them anymore, and is just another badge to earn. Maybe a way around cheaters could be that any achievements earned while add-ons are active have a small badge next to them on the achievements page that says "modded" or something, and then when the those achievements are earned without mods it’ll be removed.
