The 1 tick delay of the copper bulb was praised by everyone, who used it. I don't understand how it just got removed, when it was sooo awsome.

It would be really cool if the delay depended on the oxidation of the copper bulb

Also for the comments that are saying that Minecraft Bedrock only runs on 10 game ticks per second, and that is why Mojang removed the 1 tick delay mechanic from java, you aren't entirely wrong. Minecraft Bedrock does run on 20 game ticks per second like Java, but only updates redstone every redstone tick, not every game tick. This means that 1 gametick delays are completely impossible in Bedrock edition. I know that Bedrock runs on 20 game ticks per second as commands can have gametick delays inputed and it literally says in the interface that 20 ticks is one second.

The worst part is that they won't even admit they did it because of Bedrock's flawed redstone system. For those who don't know, a one gametick delay on Bedrock would be pretty much impossible with its redstone system, so they have to either make it slower on that version, or make it instant. That still doesn't excuse the change, though. Bedrock's redstone community is made fun of enough, they don't need this too.

Yeah, I miss the days when the Copper Bulb had the 1-tick delay rather than stupid even numbers, ever since the Copper Bulb lost its unique 1-tick delay thing, I lost interest.

So yeah, I agree that this Nerf in tick delay shall be reverted back to the way it was.

If there would be 1 thing I wanted in Minecraft it would be this change. Please Mojang!

Make oxidized bulbs have delays. It would logically make sense and will also make the technical minecraft community very happy.

If this happens we would finally have the possibilit to have silent clocks for odd delays. Because otherwise either pistons or trapdors are used that create noise.

It is coming onto year 2 of this being a very warm welcomed change to revert this back, for some reason it only took days to make the initial change while in a snapshot that a single person asked for, but the majority of the reception has been to push back on this change.

I entirely understand why this was removed. It goes against their design philosophy and was completely unintended. There are numerous features that people would enjoy were they to be added that also have unseen drawbacks. The only reason this particular one was brought to people's attention is because this mistake was actually made and then swiftly fixed. However, I feel as though this functionality being in the game allows for enough additional creativity that it should be added, though maybe through some other feature actually intended to function that way. Or the copper bulb could just be altered. I don't know enough about the inner workings of the game to know for sure what the drawbacks of that are, though.

For normal people, it really doesn't make a difference.
