Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    Tricky pots

It would be funny if Decorated Pots "dropped" no Dispensed, one of the many, splash potions in the game, but because you Smashed The Pot!! it would act as if you'd of thrown it at your feet...

This would also make it easier to make dungeons in vanilla without the need for more Redstone...

They'd become the Ultimate Reiner's of Chaos. Giving those, who anger the ancient gods of RNG the ultimate pushing effect of, Turtle Master.

Hello I have 2 ideas I’d love to see first I wish pots didn’t take up the whole block and actually be the same size maybe little bigger than normal pots for flowers. Another idea that would be cool is pot trims where you can customize how the pot looks with gold iron diamonds etc

Dyeable clay or bricks to change the color of the pot. It would leave more customizable options for decorating pots and more unique versions of pots, per person

I know this is kinda a completely different feature all together, but I think it would be cool if you added some kind of chiseled tool that lets you chisel your own designs into the pots. The you could implement some kind of way to use dyes for color on the pots. Maybe combining clay with dyes could make some sort of chalk or something. I think any of these features would be great and would exceed the creative and lovability of the pots. I feel that as it stands right now, there aren't many pot fans out there; but adding this feature of limitless potential would increase the use and love of the pots exponentially.

improvement for decorative part of pots
make individual sherds paintable (and possible to clean in cauldron) to change color of image itself on pot, so for example, skull on pot would be colored white
make completed pot paintable (and possible to clean) to color "base" color of whole pot without coloring any image of sherds, it has basically clay texture and so it could be nice to it be colorable to all colors as clay is
those two together making suddenly much wider variety of decorative pots, IRL pots and vases could often be colorful so it would make sense to me
protecs pots form projctile vulnerability, this could be done just by waxing them, it can be really annoying to get pots broken by mob projectiles or such
make blank sides of pots using at least one sherd to have line even on blank sides, or make it possible to add/remove line from any sides, it looks very odd if you have some blank side hardly visible next to wall, so you dont want to waste sherd on that but it is easily noticeable that line just ends on front face, it is even worse when you have pot not against walls, visible from all sides clearly
make nether bricks useable for pots, maybe nether sherds could be found in nether too, maybe in soul valleys could be suspicious soul sand, or around nether fortresses or new nether fortress rooms could be added, or be in bastion chests or rare piglin trade, those should be netherbrick-colored and could have nether-themed images

Pots have a unique hitbox, that would allow resourcepack makers to create blocks that have a different shape than the square noteblock.
That's why I'd like to see a blockstate added to pots, or a 'powered' state like noteblocks have, to trigger these and allow us to add custom smaller blocks into the game via resource pack.

Everyone was comparing them to Zelda pots when they came out. Lean into that. Some structures like temples, strongholds, end cities, ancient cities, and trial chambers could have blank pots with basic loot like arrows, low-grade food like berries or carrots, and overworld mob drops. Very rarely you might come across a decorated pot that has more or better loot depending on its patterns; for example, one with an archer sherd could have a whole stack of arrows rather than 2-5, burn might give you blaze powder, and prize may contain a single diamond.

I would like more sherd designs. The creaking was just added and would make a nice design. The chiseled Resin block is already depicting a Creaking and it would be a nice pair. But really I just want more options, particularly geometric options like Squiggles, squares, circles, triangles, grids and lines.

Why not add the emerald pots from Minecraft Dungeons that can generate in, for example ancient structures?

These could have the same texture from MCD and when broken drops emeralds.
