Oooh... it should emit light too! And if you use commands to give it an image URL it would still work, and would glow like normal (but it wouldn't look different).

Why would it look like Diamond or Iron? It looks fine the way it is. In case you hadn't noticed, it looks unique and to a lot of people it looks really cool.
