I would have it be able to transfer potion effects. The color of it's abdomen could indicate what potion effect

I would instead have it so ropes can be attached to arrows and then shot. It wouldn't shoot you up there, but once the arrow is attached you can climb up the rope

I would instead make it so it lessens falling speed as well as causing updraft for floating/flying things, including elytra. It should not cause damage

Since Guardians look like they are made out of Prismarine, Elder Guardians, which look like white prismarine, should drop White Prismarine Shards, which could be crafted into a White Prismarine Block

I was thinking that it could be powered to open its mouth. Another idea is that it does open its mouth when looked at but it only emits a redstone signal when used with a comparator
